POSITION SUMMARY: Focus Interpreting is looking for a skilled English - Farsi Simultaneous Interpreter to join our team. In this role, you will provide real-time interpretation during various events and conferences, ensuring effective communication between English and Farsi speakers. RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver simultaneous interpretation during meetings, conferences, and other events, ensuring clarity and understanding for both English and Farsi-speaking participants. Utilize interpretation equipment and technology to provide accurate and immediate translations in fast-paced situations. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times during interpretation sessions. Prepare for assignments by researching terminology and understanding the specific context and subject matter involved. Continuously enhance language proficiency and interpretation skills to provide the highest quality service to clients. REQUIREMENTS: Fluency in both English and Farsi, with excellent oral and written communication skills in both languages. Demonstrated experience in simultaneous interpretation, with a solid grasp of the relevant techniques and challenges. Adept understanding of cultural nuances to facilitate effective communication across language barriers. Strong listening and analytical skills to ensure precise and effective interpretation. Our technicians provide excellent customer service and are knowledgeable about the maintenance and care of office plants. This is an independent role which involves early starts each day, taking ownership for plant maintenance at several client sites, on a weekly rota. Technicians are part of a team of like-minded plant specialists who meet regularly both online and in person.
