Responsibilities Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history. Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are available. Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times. Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices. Ensure the examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred. Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a clinical setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and practices relevant to dermatology. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Basic proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and general office software. This individual will utilize facility medical necessity tool to verify appropriate patient insurance coverage. This work will need to be performed according to established policies and procedures. The associate will provide exceptional customer service to physicians, patients, family members and all other medical professionals.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries. Notes patient arrival in Practice Management System (EMR). Identifies patients by date of birth and name in computer system and creates new account if patient is not in the system. Prepares necessary patient paperwork prior to patient’s appointment. Calls “No Show” appointments to reschedule, makes appropriate notations in Practice Management System and sends letters to patients when necessary. Optimizes patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone and comforts patients by anticipating their anxieties and answering their questions. Helps in emergency situations by quickly responding to patients in distress by using good reasoning and judgment. Reviews Practice Management System (EMR) for information that needs to be updated. Works with patients to obtain updated information and accurately enters information in Practice Management System (EMR). Identifies payer sources, verifies insurance eligibility, financial status and assigns correct payor type. Verifies if prior authorization from insurance is required; notifies Billing Department, if required. Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized. Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient copays and/or balances at check in/out. Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information. Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, and reports changes as needed. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed. Routinely demonstrates superior customer service skills. Answers the telephone in a timely and polite manner. Communicates with patients, visitors, providers, and team members in a courteous, professional, cooperative and mature manner. Other duties as assigned by Practice Manager or Area Practice Manager. Holiday Lights Inc. is looking to add to their 2025-26 seasonal team. With 20+ years experience lighting in the Bay Area, we pride ourselves in being the go to lighting experts for commercial and residential holiday lighting. If you are looking for an opportunity to maximize your income over the holidays with little to no experience this would be an ideal temporary job for you. Work consists of installing and removing lighting and decorations for the holiday season. Employees must be prepared to work in applicable weather conditions and ready to leave the yard with crew at set times. Looking for employees that work well with other team members, are capable of following directions, work orders, etc. We are looking to hire applicants who can climb ladders and work at various heights by way of working on top of roofing, lifts etc. Employment is seasonal, and may require long hours, including possible overtime. Generous hourly rate. Full time work beginning sometime October and absolutely beginning of November 2025 and running into the mid-January 2026 year.
