Description

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at Willett Distillery. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the facilities are kept in top condition. The Custodian plays a vital role in creating a positive impression for our guests, employees, and partners by ensuring that the distillery meets high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This position may require arriving to work earlier on certain days to clean before staff and guests arrive. Primary Responsibilities: Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting. Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and public areas. Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly. Restock supplies as needed, including paper products and soap dispensers. Report any maintenance issues or necessary repairs to management. Assist in setting up and breaking down for events and tours. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Empty shred bins, clean inside window sills, clean mirrors. Disinfect touch surfaces, (door knobs, light switches, and keyboards). Clean elevator doors, steps and spindles, and vacuum rugs. Monthly or as needed, clean baseboards and doors. Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus. Ability to handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be physically capable of performing tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
