The Clinical Education Specialist at Activ Surgical will play a critical role in driving the clinical adoption, utilization, and mastery of our advanced surgical visualization technologies. This field-based position requires a dynamic blend of clinical expertise, a passion for education, and a deep understanding of the surgical technology landscape. You will be responsible for advancing the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals, providing essential intraoperative support, and fostering surgeon champions. This role works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and R&D to ensure our technologies deliver maximum clinical and commercial impact, ultimately enhancing patient care and outcomes.    Key Responsibilities  Training & Education: Develop and deliver comprehensive clinical education and technical training programs for surgeons, nurses, and hospital staff to ensure high levels of competency and confidence. Create and update educational materials, including manuals, online courses, and hands-on modules tailored to various learning styles. Conduct on-site and virtual training sessions, workshops, and presentations at healthcare facilities and conferences.  Clinical & Customer Support: Serve as the primary clinical resource and provide expert intraoperative case support to ensure the safe and effective utilization of Activ Surgical platforms. Troubleshoot technical and workflow issues to maintain high surgeon and staff satisfaction.  Account Growth & Surgeon Engagement: Support commercial teams by driving adoption and utilization growth within existing accounts. Identify, cultivate, and support surgeon champions to advocate for our technologies. Assist with new account onboarding to ensure smooth installation and early success.  Collaboration & Product Feedback: Collaborate with product development, sales, and marketing teams to provide critical feedback from the field, acting as a clinical voice for R&D. Participate in product evaluations, user studies, and pre-clinical testing to inform future enhancements.  Program Evaluation & Strategy: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, adjusting to improve learning outcomes. Stay informed about the latest clinical trends and competitive technologies to continuously refine training content and strategy.    Qualifications  Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with an active Registered Nurse (RN) license is strongly preferred or a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Business or a related field will also be considered.   Experience:  3 years of relevant experience is required, demonstrated through either direct clinical work in a surgical or operating room setting or a field-based clinical support/education role within the medical device industry.  Skills & Knowledge: Strong background in operating room workflows is essential; experience with surgical visualization, imaging, or robotics is preferred. Proven ability to train surgeons and OR staff on novel medical technologies. Requirements Qualifications Required: 1–3 years of project scheduling experience (preferably in construction, public works, or educational projects) on sizable initiatives. Proficiency in Primavera P6 (or equivalent) and Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Solid understanding of cost engineering, scheduling theory, CPM, and EVM. Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, persuasive. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related; or equivalent experience on a year-for-year basis. Flexibility to work across multiple project sites; comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Preferred: Experience reviewing contract schedules for compliance. Familiarity with cost-loaded scheduling and financial forecast tracking. Demonstrated ability to lead schedule analysis and present findings to senior leadership.
