Starting Salary Range: Full-Time - $92,539 - $102,529 salary + Office Benefit Package (on-call expenses): $90/month subject to change **Sign-On Bonus of $875 payable after 6 months in role** The Registered Nurse is a fully integrated member of the team and together with the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Psychiatrist, guides the medication and medical treatment needs of all individuals served. The RN also partners with team members in carrying out the treatment goals and objectives that are collaboratively developed with the individuals served based on their vision of recovery. The schedule is 20 hours per week. The position is part of an on-call rotation for providing clinical consultation after hours. Duties and Responsibilities: Take the lead role and participate in providing medication administration, education and medical services.  Develop, maintain and supervise team psychopharmacologic and medical treatment and medication policies and procedures. This includes administering, evaluating and recording psychotropic medications prescribed by the team psychiatrist. Evaluate and chart psychotropic medication effectiveness, complications and side effects, and arrange for required lab work according to protocol. Participate in daily team meetings and treatment planning meetings. Work with the team to provide ACT services for clients, assume primary responsibility for developing, writing, implementing, evaluating and revising overall recovery goals and plans in collaboration with the client and the treatment team. Manage the system of distribution of medication to clients and integrating medication administration into clients’ individual treatment plans. Administer IM medications to clients. Manage pharmaceuticals and medical supplies. Maintain a record of controlled medications and samples and manage the destruction of outstanding medications. Coordinate, schedule, and administer medical assessments of client physical health, make appropriate referrals to community physicians, and coordinate psychiatric treatment with medical treatment providers to ensure continuity of care. Work with the ACT prescriber to coordinate care with ACT team and external providers to encourage consistent and appropriate ongoing care of the client. Assess and establish appropriate medication management plans for clients including obtaining necessary prescriptions, medication administration, and monitoring side effects.  Promote skill building for medication self-management. Provide cross-training to ACT team on topics related to the integration of mental health/ physical health and medication. Work with clients on all aspects of psychiatric rehabilitation, support, and psychotherapeutic interventions identified in the treatment plan. File reports with Vulnerable Adult, the Ombudsman’s Office, Child Protection, and other mandated/required reports when appropriate. Participate in evening, weekend, and holiday coverage and be on-call as needed by the team. Must transport clients in the community. Complete all paperwork, reports, and charting contemporaneously and in an organized manner. Participate actively in on-going professional growth and development; maintain appropriate professional behavior and participate in appropriate supervision. Maintain a pattern of regular work hours. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our adult/geriatric ESRD patient population at our clinic in Anchorage, Alaska.  Key Responsibilities: Cares for and monitors patients before, during, and post dialysis treatment.  Prepares dialysis machine and its components for treatment.  Transports patients, records patient's weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate and respiration rate.  Explains dialysis procedure and operation of hemodialysis machine to patient before treatment to allay anxieties.  Inspects and cleans area of access (fistula, graft, or catheter)  Inspects equipment settings, including pressures, conductivity (proportion of chemicals to water), and temperature to ensure conformance to safety standards.  Starts patient treatment according to physician order.   Monitors patient for adverse reaction and hemodialysis machine for malfunction.  Assists in inventory and supply stocking in the dialysis clinic.   *Please note that this is not an all-inclusive list of the responsibilities of the position.  Qualifications/Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent – evidence of such is required pre-employment. Minimum of 3 months of dialysis, phlebotomy, or CNA/PCA experience preferred. CPR certification required within 90 days of hire. Ability to distinguish primary colors - as demonstrated by passing the Ishihara Color Vision Test. Successful completion of our dialysis training program, including demonstrated competency, within 12 weeks of hire.  Must meet Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved national certification requirements within the CMS timeline.  Certification must be maintained as current and in good standing.   Must be flexible to work most days/times (no set shifts).  Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing.  Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in all clinical applications is required within 90 days of hire.  Must be able to organize time and tasks well. Required use of problem solving, analytical and effective communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
