I am selling my 1968 Coupe resto-mod project because I am no longer young and healthy enough to complete the project. Body and Interior The body and sub-frame of the car are good to excellent. New floors have been riveted in but probably should be welded at the seams for better waterproofing. All the glass is good. I have all the interior parts. The door cards are good for a driver and the visors are there but not in very good shape. The rear seat is original but in good shape. I have new upholstery for the fronts and new foam for the driver’s side. Brakes I have done a disc brake conversion. And, perhaps it would be overkill but I was planning on a power brake conversion. I was going to send the pedal assembly to Mustang Steve for a power brake and cable clutch conversion. Engine The engine is a 1980’s era 302 (E series block). I heard it run when it was in a donor 67 Mustang that I bought for the stick shift conversion of my car. Presently the engine is equipped with a 2 barrel carb and manifold. But, I have a brand new Edelbrock Performer manifold and I was planning on going with fuel injection. I also have a CVF Black B-302-WRAPTOR-AC-P-3-A serpentine belt system for this motor (cost 1,800.00). This system includes a power steering pump and an AC compressor. As far as a cooling system goes I have a new aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. Transmission I have a rebuilt T5 (cost 1,800.00) as well as a shifter and the conversion cross-member. I also have the driveshaft that will need to be modified for the T5. Wheels and Tires The wheels are 10 hole mags that I bought new. The tires are fairly new and have been not been exposed to sun because the car is garaged.
