Own a piece of NW British car history. This MGB was imported from Jaguar Rover Triumph Inc. into the Port of Portland in August 1980. It was sold by Rowland Motors Inc located on E Pike St Seattle on September 19, 1980 for the sum total of $8,935 plus license, taxes, and fees. Original dealer sticker and paperwork comes with the car. The last production year of MGB’s was 1980 making this particular car part of the last production run of the over half a million MGB’s produced from 1963-1980. Was desmogged some time in the early 90s and upgraded to dual SU carbs for increased performance. Having been garaged its whole life the body is straight free of accidents and rust with minor dings here and there. The electrical is fully functional and in excellent shape having recently been refurbished. The original paint is in great condition with the color listed as Russet with Beige interior. While this era has rubber bumpers, this one comes with original wire wheels including a full size wire wheel spare and OEM jack and equipment. All gauges, lights, switches and accessories work as per factory specifications including the tachometer and factory installed clock. The dash pad is in excellent condition free of cracks and the interior is in good condition with newer carpet and a roll bar for added safety. Comes with a newer soft top and hardware, original tonneau bars and cover, original soft top, owners manual, and lots of extra parts, too many to list. Aftermarket Pioneer CD stereo with in-door speakers. Fun little car to buzz around town, runs and drives good but needs some tuning and maintenance. Recent maintenance includes new: - Spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and coil - Coolant system flush, pressure tested, new thermostat, gaskets and hoses - Fuse Block and all connectors/leads cleaned and tested - Wiring harness cleaned, tested and repaired as needed - Oil and Oil Filter change - New choke cable - Battery cable and shut off switch Includes several thousands in New Parts for Recommended Maintenance: - Carburetor rebuild: price includes rebuilt dual SU carburetor and intake manifold set up with new linkage and heat shield for install ($1,000) - Front brakes are a bit soft: price includes new rotors, pads, calipers, stainless brake hoses ($600) - Rear brakes work fine but comes with a new rear brake kit ($100) - Front suspension bushings are worn: includes new front upper and lower bushings, wheel bearings and fulcrum pin bushings ($100) - Motor mounts are also soft: includes new heavy duty motor mounts front and rear ($100) - Exhaust system close to rusted out: includes new Tourist Trophy sport exhaust system and mounting hardware ($700) I have receipts from Moss and other parts stores for the above items.
