Job Duties & Responsibilities: Assess patient health status, develop care plans, and determine appropriate diagnostics and treatments Provide acute and chronic care including histories, physicals, injections, medications, and wound care Triage patient phone calls and assess patient needs Respond to urgent and emergency situations, including CPR Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to coordinated patient care Assist in surgical procedures and perform OR support as needed Participate in hospital rounds and shared on-call responsibilities Educate patients and families to promote understanding and wellness Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements: NP/PA Program Completed in USA (Not Puerto Rico) Current Arizona license as a PA or NP NP First Assist training (if applicable) following AORN education standards Orthopedic Spine experience preferred but not required If you meet all of our criteria and would like to be considered, please apply with your most updated Resume/CV. These Medical Disability Exams are crucial in the VA process for determining the benefits Veterans can receive because of service-connected health issues. This opportunity provides the ability to customize your schedule and caseload within the week while maintaining client-mandated turnaround times. Our reviewers are compensated on a per-case basis as a 1099 independent contractor. Preferred candidates will hold a WA license and be certified, or willing to become certified, with the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries (L&I). Highlights: In-person Exams to be conducted in Bellevue, WA, with additional locations to be added in the future Multiple exams over the course of a day Dane Street will pay for reasonable travel expenses Dane Street will assist you in obtaining WA L&I certification Video recording of approximately 15% of exams may be needed JOB SUMMARY Utilizes clinical expertise and reviews insurance appeals, and prospective and retrospective claims. The Physician Reviewer will provide an interpretation of the medical necessity of services provided by other healthcare professionals in compliance with client specific policies, nationally recognized evidence-based guidelines, and standards of care. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reviews all medical records and addresses each question posed by the client utilizing client specific criteria or other nationally recognized evidence-based criteria Ensures that the rationale for the determination is clear, concise, and contains adequate supporting documentation to substantiate the decision Identifies, critiques, and utilizes current criteria and resources such as national, state, and professional association guidelines and peer-reviewed literature that support sound and objective decision-making and rationales in reviews; refrains from using case studies, cohorts, and the like to make decisions due to their limited sample sizes Provides copies of any criteria utilized in a review with the report in a timely manner Returns cases on or before the due date and time Makes telephone calls as mandated by the state and/or client specifics Maintains proper credentialing and state licenses and any special certifications or requirements necessary to perform the job Attends all required orientation and training Performs other duties as assigned including identifying and responding to quality assurance issues, complaints, regulatory issues, depositions, court appearances, or audits PLEASE BE AWARE: In the interest of the security of both parties, please be aware that Dane Street will never conduct an interview via text or request checks from candidates for purchasing equipment.

This is a remote position. Your Role: Interpret cognitive assessment tests remotely for Medicare-eligible individuals. Develop and document personalized care plans based on assessment results. Work in compliance with Medicare billing requirements for cognitive assessment services. Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to provide a comprehensive approach to cognitive care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in an electronic health records system (EHR). Requirements Our Requirements: MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license At least 2 years experience in neurology, geriatrics, psychiatry, primary care, or a related field preferred Familiarity with cognitive testing tools such as MoCA, MMSE, or equivalent Comfort with telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach Must be comfortable utilizing technology and providing teletherapy Familiarity with CMS guidelines for cognitive assessments Existing credentialing with Medicare is a plus Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must have experience working with clients who are age 65+ Must have an active NPI Must be available to start with a minimum of 5 hours per week Benefits Compensation: $120-$130 per hour based on experience and credentials.
