Job Summary: The Medical Assistant supports physicians and clinical staff through both administrative and hands-on patient care tasks. This position plays a key role in facilitating smooth patient flow, preparing clinical spaces, and delivering high-quality care in a busy neurology practice. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Greet and room patients, take vital signs, and maintain efficient patient flow Assist with procedures including injections, blood draws, and EMG setup Manage appointment scheduling, phone calls, prescription refills, and prior authorizations Communicate with external healthcare providers, testing labs, and facilities Maintain and organize exam rooms, stock supplies, and order as needed Process urine drug screens and handle clinical equipment (autoclave, centrifuge) Collect and prepare lab specimens (urine, blood, spinal fluid, body tissue) Accurately chart patient data and coordinate result letters Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Completion of Medical Assistant Program Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred) AED Certification (Preferred) 1 year of experience with vital signs (Preferred) Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds Professional handling of confidential information If you meet all of our criteria and would like to be considered please apply with your most updated Resume/CV.
