Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, particularly in an industrial setting. Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or Lean Six Sigma certification is advantageous. Skills: Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering analysis tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent project management capabilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to noise, heat, and other industrial conditions. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time. Work Environment: Industrial Mechanical Engineers typically work in an office environment but may also spend time in manufacturing facilities and construction sites to oversee the implementation of their designs. What You Will Do Safely performs maintenance, installation, and repair of equipment and processes in the Milling plant including mills, conveyors, screens and like systems.  Assist with and perform component replacement and repairs on, but not limited to: conveyor systems, ball mills, auto mills, screen decks, lube systems, filter drums, crushers, hydraulic filter presses, and foundry pumps Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance: identify potential failures/noises/wear on agitators, rotors, belts, pulleys, gear boxes May perform welding (Stick, TIG) Responsible for maintaining work orders, a clean and safe work area and performing work area inspections Perform other duties as required One (1) year of experience in mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance Ability read and use schematics and blue prints Must have completed academic and competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees), and have experience demonstrating required mechanical aptitude.  Selected candidate shall demonstrate ability to apply knowledge and technical skills while also passing a written assessment.  This exam is based on technical skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.
