About the Role:  We are seeking a CNC Mill-Lathe Machinist to join our 2nd shift team. Responsible for the setup, Mazatrol programing, operating, and inspection of the final product, ensuring it is free from defects and ready for the next production stage.     Responsibilities include:  Day to day operation of CNC milling and Lathe machines following work lists, shop routers or direction from immediate supervisor while maintaining work schedule with a goal of improving safety and/or production.  Operator is responsible for all set up, programming.   Basic programming knowledge of machine being hired for (Mazak or Okuma).  Write programs for basic parts.  Set-up tooling prior to running part and recognize potential tool interference.  Demonstrate the ability to learn back setup.  Operate overhead cranes, clamping devices.  Perform similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor.  Maintain clean and safe work area.  Complete tasks timely and efficiently in accordance with expectations as directed by supervisor.  Able to operate tools including but not limited to, hand tools, manual machine tools, torch, drill press, etc.  Ability to learn Eriez labor and work order collection system.  Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.  Requirements High school diploma OR GED  Skill or experience with Mazatrol programing  Program, set up and operate horizontal and vertical CNC machining centers including the setting of all tooling and fixtures, proper feeds and speeds, using both carbide and high-speed steel tools.  Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and use Advanced mathematics and formulas.  Use a variety of precision measuring instruments with proficiency.  Experience in programming and operating, (acknowledged training preferred) using Mazatrol or conversational control systems to create programs from engineering drawings.  Ability to learn machining processes through formal training, including knowledge of materials, feeds, speeds, tooling, inserts, coolant, drills, taps, etc.  Benefits 401(k) Employer 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Hourly pay Range: $23.23/hr. to $25.55 (commensurate with experience) + 6% second shift differential premium Eriez is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The successful candidate will ensure that extruded product meets specified requirements as well as adhering to safety expectations. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated individual to be responsible for the efficient and accurate process of producing various rubber profiles from raw material with microwave or heated water curing. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to best practices in machine operations, contributing to teamwork and respecting all policies as outlined in the employee handbook. Work Schedule: Monday-Wednesday, 7PM – 7AM Pay: $18.64 + $1 shift differential Requirements Monitor and verify the quality of the extruded profile. Ensure that the compound is entering the extruder continuously and smoothly. Ensure all dimensions are within product specifications. Trouble shoot extrusion process & interact with Maintenance in resolution of equipment problems. Make regular checks on the water level in the cooling tank and ensure that the profile is centered on the hot air tunnel belt. Ensure samples are available for the Q.C. Inspector and measurements are done to the specified frequencies. Pack or cut to the cut length specifications the extruded profile as instructed. Ensure printing and logo is correct and is in accordance with the drawing. Follow quality procedures, document, and record all required process control information. Must be eager to learn, excited to work on a team, and have good written and verbal communication skills Other duties as the need arises and/or assigned. Qualifications & Experience Must be 18 years of age or older. High School diploma or equivalent experience. Must be able to use or can be trained on various types of measuring tools related to our stamping and gasket manufacturing process. Demonstrates the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read, write and comprehend sophisticated instructions, correspondence, and reports. Requires good mobility and involves considerable lifting (less than 35 lbs.), pulling, bending, standing and walking. Working conditions The incumbent in this role spends almost 100% of their time in the plant environment, which may involve varying degrees of physical labor such as standing and walking for long periods of time, lifting, pushing and pulling. Incumbent will use standard personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and aprons. Job Title: Heat Treat Operator Furnaces: 4 Location: Warren MI Shift: 1st  Pay: 23.31 to start. Pay raises coming soon due to union negotiations Summary Will perform operations in the Heat Treat area as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities ·         Conduct light duty maintenance, to have furnaces available for processing work orders (confined space work will be subcontracted to vendor base).  Maintenance includes maintaining flow scopes in good order and minor electrical trouble shooting and repairs – i.e replacing heating elements.  ·         Read work tickets generated in the lab  ·         Group parts to be processed together as permissible  ·         Make up loads to process in the furnaces, either manually or using a hoist  ·         Using a roller cart, transfer a tray with a basket of parts on it, to the furnaces and push the load into the furnaces.  ·         Set the furnace cycle, times, atmospheres and monitor the progress of each cycle in each furnace.  ·         When the cycle is completed, reverse the motions to unload parts back into the original containers.  ·         Copper plate small parts (i.e. retainers), through progressive tank dipping on the plating line and dip strip the copper when the cycle is completed.  ·         Charge and discharge the chromizing furnace once per day in the moor – this requires loosening and then retightening 8 bolts on each of the two chromizing furnaces.  ·         Maintaining appropriate documentation with each work order, such as signing off furnace processing charts.  ·         Occasionally putting parts into the -100 degree F. freezer.  ·         Shot peening of retainers  Requirements ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMICAL CONTACTS:                  In the Heat Treat Department, employees come in short duration contacts with the following chemicals:  ·         Quench oils, lubricating oils, tri-valent chrome (solid chrome), zirconium, ammonium iodide, hexavalent chromium (chromic acid), sulfuric acid, cupric sulfate, endothermic gas, natural gas, anhydrous ammonia.    Furnace elevated temperatures, up to 1750 degree F.    Critical Competencies Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Ability to understand and follow work instructions Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word & Excel ·         This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).  As a result, all applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR.  ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee. ·         This position is subject to policies and procedures set forth by the State Department and applicants who do not meet such requirements will not be eligible for the position. Education and Experience Requirements ·         Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent ·         At least 1 year experience in a manufacturing precision machining environment Knowledge of G&M Codes  Experience with manual turning/milling or drilling or CNC mill, lathe, broach and drilling is required Experience with a Key Seater is preferred Proficient knowledge of GD&T and drawing reading skills ·         Experience with machine tools and inspection tools such as gauge blocks, dial indicators calipers and micrometers. ·         Insert tooling nomenclature Ability to understand and follow work instructions ·         Good communication skills and teamwork are essential Physical Demand and Work Environment:           For small parts, under 10 lbs. each (it is more of a repetitive things to place parts in and out of containers/heat treat baskets).  For heavier parts, we have lifting devices, jib hoists, lifting tables, magnets, etc.  We load/unload baskets 1 – 3 hrs. per day.  Occasionally more muscle is required when pushing loads, pulling loads on the roller cart, shifting them around in and out of furnaces.  Unbolting and bolting eight bolts on the chrome furnace, access doors requires pressure.   This is done one to two times daily (the heat/cool cycle is 24 hrs.).  Benefits Benefits: start after 90 days ·         PTO is a set rate.
