A Discmaker manufactures rupture discs of the highest quality in a safe and cost-effective manner to ensure the best delivery in accordance with all company policies and manufacturing procedures. You will assist the machine shop in a fast paced, high production environment. Attention to detail is a must. 2nd shift - 2pm - 10pm Requirements ·  Develop layout and plan sequence of operations to manufacture rupture discs by studying blueprints, shop orders and manufacturing procedures. ·  Set up and successfully operate required equipment, including, but not limited to presses, punches, nibbler cutters, laser scoring and cutting equipment, hydraulic testers and lifts, dial indicators, co-bots and other automated and robotic equipment, and precision measuring tools. ·  Clean rupture disc components per standard or special cleaning procedures. ·  Assemble components into completed rupture discs. ·  Perform burst tests and temperature testing on discs. ·  Inspect completed rupture discs to verify that they conform to specifications. ·  Comply with company productivity and quality requirements. ·  Operate forklift as needed. ·  Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: ·  High school diploma or GED. ·  1-3 months’ work experience in a production environment.  Previous experience in a production position at CDC is preferred. TECHNICAL / FUNCTION SPECIFIC: ·  Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. ·  Ability to read blueprints. ·  Basic math and reading skills. ·  Working knowledge of industrial equipment used in producing rupture discs. ·  Computer skills sufficient to use company ERP system. BEHAVIORAL: ·  Willingness and ability to follow all manufacturing procedures and company policies. ·  Attention to detail. ·  Concern for quality, accuracy and safety. ·  Ability to stay on task and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines. ·  Positive attitude and ability to work well with others, including peers, supervisors, executive management and outside vendors, representatives and visitors when called upon. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: ·  Motor skills sufficient to successfully and safely use required tools and machinery. ·  Ability to stand and/or walk for majority of scheduled shift, typically 8-10 hours per day, though possibly more when overtime is required. ·  Using proper lifting techniques, ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. ·  Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes.
