SUMMARY\r\nPrince Industries is looking for a CNC Machinist in our Swiss Department.\r\nSecond Shift: Flexible shift: ~2:30PM - ~1:00AM. MUST be willing to train on first shift. \r\nOpportunities for Overtime \r\n\r\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\r\n Operates production machinery to print specifications.\r\n Performs a variety of tasks by using established guidelines with limited judgement to perform functions of the job.\r\n Visually and dimensionally inspect production parts for any defects and reports defects to immediate supervisor.\r\n Verify conformance of workpiece to specifications, using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and go-no-go gauges.\r\n Required to use statistical process control techniques.\r\n Relies on instructions and preestablished guidelines to perform the functions of the job.\r\n Reads blueprints for such information as dimensions and tolerances (i.e. GD&T)\r\n Reads and interprets the Job Traveler for such information as number of workpieces to be machined, job rate, sequence of operation, etc..\r\n Understands and follows Prince Industries quality certifications (i.e. ISO, QS) as relates to position.\r\n Independently perform all job duties of machine operation with little or no instruction required such as:     \r\n Machine startup\r\n Adjust tooling to maintain proper sizes\r\n Replace broken or worn tooling\r\n Identify non-functioning safety equipment or unsafe conditions\r\n Conduct daily preventative maintenance checks to include proper coolant levels, filters, fan operation, cleans the machine as needed, etc.\r\n Secures all tooling and instruments required  (Doc: PQ01F03).\r\n Completes necessary job related paperwork to include tags, inspection documents, production log, etc...\r\n Cleans all spills and noticeable grease spots on floor in shop.\r\n Responsible for maintaining the quality, protection and storage of the completed product (ex: layer packing, rust preventative oils, box weight, etc.)\r\n Identify necessary tooling required for safe and efficient daily operation. JOB SUMMARY Prince Industries is looking for a CNC Machinist in our Swiss Department. Second Shift: Flexible shift: ~2:30PM - ~1:00AM. MUST be willing to train on first shift. Opportunities for Overtime ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operates production machinery to print specifications. Performs a variety of tasks by using established guidelines with limited judgement to perform functions of the job. Visually and dimensionally inspect production parts for any defects and reports defects to immediate supervisor. Verify conformance of workpiece to specifications, using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and go-no-go gauges. Required to use statistical process control techniques. Relies on instructions and preestablished guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Reads blueprints for such information as dimensions and tolerances (i.e. GD&T) Reads and interprets the Job Traveler for such information as number of workpieces to be machined, job rate, sequence of operation, etc.. Understands and follows Prince Industries quality certifications (i.e. ISO, QS) as relates to position. Independently perform all job duties of machine operation with little or no instruction required such as:      Machine startup Adjust tooling to maintain proper sizes Replace broken or worn tooling Identify non-functioning safety equipment or unsafe conditions Conduct daily preventative maintenance checks to include proper coolant levels, filters, fan operation, cleans the machine as needed, etc. Secures all tooling and instruments required  (Doc: PQ01F03). Completes necessary job related paperwork to include tags, inspection documents, production log, etc... Cleans all spills and noticeable grease spots on floor in shop. Responsible for maintaining the quality, protection and storage of the completed product (ex: layer packing, rust preventative oils, box weight, etc.) Identify necessary tooling required for safe and efficient daily operation. (i.e. insert changes, drills, work holding, etc..) Proficient in the use of  basic inspection equipment (including height gauge and optical comparators) Able to begin simple machine set ups and/or machine adjustments as needed  (ex: remove and/or set tools or diamonds, reset jaws, collets, guides, etc.) Transports finished materials, manually or using pallet jack, to area indicated on the Job Traveler. Maintains established production rate as indicated on the Job Traveler and reports any discrepancies immediately to department supervisor. Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions, such as worn or damaged cutting tools, etc. Positions and secures workpiece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or fixtures. Maintains good housekeeping in work area. Works under direct supervision. Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned. Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor; may include department transfers to meet production needs. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Ability to recognize and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct light duty maintenance, to have furnaces available for processing work orders (confined space work will be subcontracted to vendor base).  Maintenance includes maintaining flow scopes in good order and minor electrical trouble shooting and repairs – i.e replacing heating elements.  Read work tickets generated in the lab  Group parts to be processed together as permissible  Make up loads to process in the furnaces, either manually or using a hoist  Using a roller cart, transfer a tray with a basket of parts on it, to the furnaces and push the load into the furnaces.  Set the furnace cycle, times, atmospheres and monitor the progress of each cycle in each furnace.  When the cycle is completed, reverse the motions to unload parts back into the original containers.  Copper plate small parts (i.e. retainers), through progressive tank dipping on the plating line and dip strip the copper when the cycle is completed.  Charge and discharge the chromizing furnace once per day in the moor – this requires loosening and then retightening 8 bolts on each of the two chromizing furnaces.  Maintaining appropriate documentation with each work order, such as signing off furnace processing charts.  Occasionally putting parts into the -100 degree F. freezer.  Shot peening of retainers    ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMICAL CONTACTS:  In the Heat Treat Department, employees come in short duration contacts with the following chemicals:  Quench oils, lubricating oils, tri-valent chrome (solid chrome), zirconium, ammonium iodide, hexavalent chromium (chromic acid), sulfuric acid, cupric sulfate, endothermic gas, natural gas, anhydrous ammonia.  Furnace elevated temperatures, up to 1750 degree F.    Critical Competencies Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Ability to understand and follow work instructions Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word & Excel Requirements Education and Experience Requirements Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent At least 1 year experience in a manufacturing precision machining environment Knowledge of G&M Codes  Experience with manual turning/milling or drilling or CNC mill, lathe, broach and drilling is required Experience with a Key Seater is preferred Proficient knowledge of GD&T and drawing reading skills Experience with machine tools and inspection tools such as gauge blocks, dial indicators calipers and micrometers.
