I‘m selling my 2002 BMW E46 M3 6-speed manual with a current mileage of 201k miles. It has a clean California title, 2 keys and did just pass smog. I bought this M3 about 4 years ago with the intention to go through it and convert it into a stripped track car. Unfortunately, I didn’t find enough time to work a lot on the car and also bought another track focused car in the meantime. The M3 runs and drives good, looks very good and has some nice upgrades, but also needs some work - Mainly on the differential (clunk) and the engine (slight valve ticking and oil leaking). I’m including a used differential along with a bunch of other parts, which I bought to address these issues.. (see parts list down below) Big 3: - Rear Subframe has been reinforcement by previous owner - Rod bearings replaced about 13k miles ago by previous owner - Vanos system is still OEM, as far as I know, and working (No issues and no check engine light) Upgrades: - The M3 got repainted under one of previous owners and the paint is in very good condition overall (just smaller chips here and there) - Euro front bumper (clean and also no license plate holes) - Front plate holder for tow hook mounting (US Mill Works) - Fortune Auto 500 Series Coilovers (current spring rate is more for street driving) - Yellowtag ZHP steering rack (quicker ratio) - Rear Strut brace - K&N Intake system (CARB legal with badge in engine bay) - Aftermarket axle-back exhaust (unknown brand) - Square Setup OEM 18inch M wheels with 265/35/18 Toyo Proxes R1R - Inner LCI taillights (only the parts in the trunk lid) - Bluetooth Connection Module for OEM stereo - Tinted Windows - Rewrapped steering wheel - Metal shift knob - Anti rodent device in engine bay Recent work: - New upstream and downstream o2 sensors (Bosch/OEM) - New inner & outer tie-rods and boots (Lemförder/Febi Bilstein) - New steering fluid reservoir & fresh fluid (Febi Bilstein/Dexron ATF) - New front sway bar links (Lemförder) - New front sway bar bushing (Rein) - Alignment (Aug 1 at Wheelworks) - Oil & Filter change (July 2025, Liqui Moly 10W60 Race Tech GT1 & Mahle Filter) - New front turn signals (Magneti Marelli/OEM) - New BMW center caps - Smog Check (July 26th, 2025 - valid for 90days) - New Xenon Front headlight bulbs - New “E-Box Fan” for ECU cooling (OEM) Known Issues: - Differential Clunk - typical issue for the milage (I would do an ratio upgrade on the supplied diff and swap it later) - Shift stick has some slop, but working fine (easy to fix during a diff swap when exhaust and driveshaft are out if the way) - Slight valve ticking - only when engine is hot (Have not looked into this further, but this requires either valve adjustment or new rocker arms) - Oil Pan gasket has some leaking - Passenger door has some smaller dents and window tint is a bit scratched - Headliner sagging in the rear OEM & Spare parts included with sale: - Used OEM 3.62 differential with solid bushings (82k miles according to seller, I would do a rebuilt before swapping it in) - New BMW seal kit for differential - New driveshaft flex disc/guibo - New oil pan gasket - New rear sway bar bushings - Used OEM Muffler - Used OEM Air Intake/filter box - New oil change kit with Liqui Moly 10w60 Race Tech GT1 and Mahle filter
