On the theory the head gasket was compromised, the mechanic added professional leakstop which reduced the smoke, but not entirely. The engine starts immediately, but runs somewhat rough. The transmission operates flawlessly with fluid clean and level. Given the situation, I don’t recommend driving the car for any distance until these problems are fixed. After driving the best car I’ve ever owned, I’m moving on, and have DROPPED the PRICE for those looking for a project car - or to own a classic automobile.
