Found at Orangegate Park, near Canyon Road East and 80th Street East: Brown medium-sized intact male dog, white blaze on chest, white tips of paws. Seems to be pitbull (pit bull)-chocolate lab, a little husky or shepherd. Others indicated he had been in the area about a week. Skittish and fearful at first but has warmed up and is very friendly. Not generally aggressive or reactive with other dogs but engages in a little resource guarding, house-trained but needs some manners work (puts front feet on counters). Afraid of cars but adjusting quickly. Bonds strongly and responds well to correction. Does not appear to know words such as "No" or "Good boy!" but behaves well anyway. Generally good on leash. Sleeps calmly in my bed all night. Generally low-key but eager to participate in any activity. He's posted on NextDoor, Facebook, and the Tacoma-Pierce County Humane Society's website. I have little hope his person will be found. If he or she is not located, he will be up for adoption, as I already have two dogs. Please contact me if interested. Also if anyone is interested in helping locate his person, such as by putting up posters, please let me know.
