About the Role We are seeking an estate planning paralegal to support our estate planning and estate administration practices. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in North Carolina estate law, technical skills (Clio preferred), and the ability to take ownership of cases.  Project oriented leadership experience is a plus, but we are open to training the right candidate with a strong desire to grow. Key Responsibilities Estate Planning Paralegal: Project Management: Oversee and manage estate planning projects from intake to execution, ensuring all steps are completed accurately and on schedule. Draft & Prepare Documents – Wills, trusts, POAs, healthcare directives. Client Intake & Communication – Gather information, maintain contact. Funding & Asset Transfers – Assist with trust funding, beneficiary updates. Execution & Notarization – Coordinate signings, ensure compliance. Estate Administration Paralegal: Probate & Court Filings – File petitions, inventories, accountings. Asset Identification & Distribution – Locate, value, and transfer assets. Creditor Claims & Estate Debts – Manage notifications and settlements. Estate Tax & Accounting Assistance – Support tax prep and financial tracking. Requirements What We’re Looking For: 3+ years of estate planning or administration experience (NC-specific preferred). Strong project management skills and the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion. Project-oriented mindset with the ability to organize, prioritize, and execute estate planning matters efficiently. Attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, and a client-centered approach. Proficiency in MicroSoft Office (Outlook, Work & Excel) and a legal software program (Clio or similar). Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases. Desire to grow into a leadership role (if less experienced). Benefits Why Join Us? Public Records Act Analyst/Paralegal (CA Based required)

Responsibilities: Keeps track of public records requests that are submitted to public agency clients. Analyzes public records requests and assists with determining the scope of search that the subject public agency must undertake to find responsive records. Works with public agency staff to transfer documents to the law firm for review. Reviews databases of documents to determine responsiveness of documents.  Marks documents as privileged or exempt, as necessary, or otherwise redacts documents. Such work will require the paralegal to receive training on the California Public Records Act and other public records-related statutory exemptions, as well as case law.  Assists attorneys in drafting response letters to records requesters.  Keeps deadlines to ensure that records are provided to the public agency client in time for the public agency to provide records to requesters within the statutory requirements.  Consults with attorneys and client on conclusions regarding exemptions for withholding records and records to be produced. Reviews public agency client records (written, verbal and electronic) and confers with assigning attorney to prevent the unauthorized release. Reviews large volume of records being able to spot legal and public policy issues of importance to the public agency client. Consults with attorneys on how to best communicate these issues to the client before producing the records. Acts as a representative on behalf of the public agency counsel, demonstrating a positive attitude with professionalism, courtesy, and appropriate tact and discretion in all interactions with members of the public, opposing counsel, other agencies, and other employees.
