The Role
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Laborer / Expediter to join our team for the long term. This position combines hands-on field work with support and delivery responsibilities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of safely operating company vehicles—including box trucks and trailers—while maintaining a clean, efficient, and well-organized work environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Material Handling & Logistics:
• Safely operate company vehicles, including box trucks and trailers, for pickup and delivery of tools, materials, and equipment.
• Load, secure, and unload materials and tools for job sites.
• Coordinate with project managers and foremen to ensure timely delivery and returns.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate effectively about schedules and needs.
Site & Equipment Support:
• Assist field crews with general labor tasks such as cleanup, demolition, and material staging.
• Move and organize equipment and supplies on-site or in storage.
• Keep vehicles, trailers, and jobsite areas clean and organized.
• Report maintenance or equipment needs promptly.
Organization & Communication:
• Maintain a high level of organization in vehicles, tools, and materials.
• Communicate clearly with office staff and field teams to coordinate runs and pickups.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing multiple tasks.
Safety & Professionalism:
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Operate vehicles and equipment responsibly and in compliance with company standards.
• Represent Dunn Contractors professionally with clients, vendors, and the public.

Skills & Requirements
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Cell phone is required for documentation, communication, and access to maps for traveling.
• 18 years or older.
• Experience driving with trailers and operating a box truck is required.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Travel: Ability to travel as needed between project sites, various vendors, and other relevant locations. This includes but is not limited to Anchorage, Eagle River, and Wasilla.
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Basic understanding of construction materials, tools, and processes.
• Experience driving a variety of vehicles or performing deliveries.
• Forklift, telehandler, or DOT certification a plus.
• Knowledge of Anchorage and surrounding area vendors and dump/recycling sites.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 lbs.
• Stand/walk for extended periods.
• Lifting, squatting, crawling, and crouching are required.
• Be exposed to various inside and outside working and weather conditions.
• PPE will be provided as needed.

Schedule: Full-time, year-round | Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | Overtime available during busy seasons
