Basic knowledge of hand tools, including electric and battery-powered equipment. DAY to DAY RESPONSIBILITIES: Servicing Extinguishers in preparation for weekly distribution. Field work across various locations in MA. Driving Company Van to and from job sites. In-House Maintenance and Recharging Fire Extinguishers. Fire Equipment Certificate of Competency (R46 MA License-Portable Fire Extinguisher) is a plus. We are willing to train the right candidate(s) to become licensed (R46) within the allotted time frame. Maintenance Under the direction of the Property Manager, or other appropriate administrative staff, the position is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds and equipment; including the development of a preventative maintenance plan, urgent repairs and general carpentry work. Must be conversant with the operation of all physical aspects of the property, work diplomatically to solve problems, be responsive to residents, and able to work as a team member with the Property Manager, and other property management staff members. Should be proactive by making periodic inspections of the property, diagnoses problems, and initiate the necessary action. Knowledge of building maintenance and repair methods, materials, tools, and equipment. · Undertakes routine maintenance. · Ensures that safety standards and regulations are observed. · · Maintains inventory of materials and supplies. · Performs common area repairs when appropriate. · Paint. · Performs other duties and tasks as deemed necessary by management. · Responds to emergency calls and rectify existing condition when directed by employer or office staff.
