About the Role: As an Assistant Fireplace Installation Technician, you'll work closely with our lead installers to assist in the installation of wood and gas burning systems across both Oregon and Washington locations. This is a hands-on, high-energy position perfect for someone looking to build a career in the fireplace industry. You’ll learn the full range of fireplace mechanics and restoration while supporting a team that’s committed to excellence. Key Responsibilities: • Assist the lead installer with the installation of wood and gas-burning systems in both Portland and Vancouver. • Learn all mechanical tasks involved in fireplace installations and service. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at each job site. • Ensure safety and quality standards are upheld on every project. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Previous warehouse, logistics, or customer service experience a plus. Language Skills • Bilingual in Spanish preferred Other Qualifications • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently when required. • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and stand/walk for extended periods. • Valid driver’s license and clean record preferred (for equipment use). • Hold forklift certification preferred • Ability to travel nationwide for extended periods of time with short notice • Flexible schedule including night, weekends and overtime • Ability to read a tape measure using both metric and standard measuring systems • Mechanically inclined • Basic math skills
$22-25/hour
