CITY OF IRWINDALE CA Location: Irwindale, CA Department: Warehouse/Logistics Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor/Manager Job Type: Full-Time (8-10 hour shifts) Time start: 5 am - 1:30 pm Pay rate: $16.50 Job Summary: The Loader is responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the warehouse, yard, or loading dock. This role involves handling goods safely and efficiently to support shipping, receiving, and storage operations. Key Responsibilities: Load and unload trucks, containers, and trailers manually or using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Stack, organize, and secure materials and products for shipment or storage. Inspect incoming and outgoing loads for accuracy and report any discrepancies. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to company safety policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and drivers to ensure efficient workflow. Operate warehouse equipment safely and report any maintenance needs. Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned, such as inventory counts, labeling, or packaging. Work Environment: Fast-paced warehouse or distribution center. May involve working in outdoor or non-climate-controlled areas. Requires wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
