ShareLandscape Maintenance Worker Job Requirements and Skills • Operate motorized equipment, such as mowers, tractors, two-wheeled vehicles, chain saws, electric trimmers, lawn edgers, and pruning saws. • Cut or edge lawns using lawn mowers or edgers. • Maintain established lawns with mulching, aeration, weeding, removing thatch, and trimming or edging flower beds, walkways, or walls. • Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge trimmers, or brush cutters. • Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using shears, trimmers, or chain saws. • Maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, or benches using manual or electric tools. • Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides on lawns, shrubs, or trees using manual or automatic sprayers or spreaders. • Provide proper maintenance of sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, planters, or other landscape features. • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. • Able to communicate and receive instructions from the crew foreman. • Required: Driver's license with clean driving record.
