Shipping & Receiving - Warehouse Associate (Entry Level) (West Chester)

Shipping & Receiving Job Purpose We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Shipping/Receiving. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure accurate and efficient receiving, picking, and packing of products to our customers. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining our high standards of quality and reliability in product delivery. Key Result Areas Inventory Operations Quality Primary Work Activities Receiving: Unpack/receive into ERP systems all incoming POs/SROs/RMAs. Bag incoming parts. Label incoming parts. Stock parts for FIFO consumption. Double Checking: Ensure that the correct quantity and type of product is bagged for each CO/SRO. Quality Assurance: Conduct visual inspections of products prior to packing to ensure they meet quality standards. Report any discrepancies or defects to the appropriate personnel. Packaging: Pack items securely and appropriately for shipping, considering fragility and size. Use packing materials efficiently to minimize waste and prevent damage during transit. Documentation: Ensure that all paperwork is complete and accurate. Scan documentation into Infor. Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts and inventory audits. Communicate any inventory discrepancies or shortages to the Inventory Coordinator. Workspace Organization: Keep the warehouse and packing area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other members of the warehouse and shipping team to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Communicate any issues or concerns that may impact workflow or customer satisfaction. Essential Job Competencies High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in warehouse operations, picking, packing, or shipping preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work performance. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Working Conditions Primarily operates in a warehouse environment. May be exposed to varying temperatures, loud noises, and other typical warehouse conditions. Requires lifting and moving heavy objects; bending, stooping; and prolonged standing.
