About the Position Entry-level position with opportunity to learn and excel into various positions within the Fabrication Shop such as CNC Machinist, Welding Fabricator, Plasma Table, Electrical. Electronics, CNC, and PLC Programming Responsible for general shop cleanup and maintenance Assist fabricators with prepping material, grinding, running a drill press, and metal cutting using a band saw The work is fast paced and can, at times, be demanding Repetitive lifting and working in both hot and cold work environments Work schedule is for the day shift, and may include overtime and weekend work during busy production times Qualifications We look for applicants with recent, related work history and verifiable references All applicants must be at least age 18 Why Join Our Team? The successful candidate will be responsible for managing NYSDEC Spill projects, Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in support of real estate transactions and managing sites in the NYSDEC Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) including Site Characterizations/ Remedial Investigations, Remedial Alternative Analysis/Remedial Design work and remediation projects. Prior experience with assessing feasibility/cost and detailed design for excavation and off-site disposal projects, in-situ chemical injections (oxidant and reductant approaches), sub-slab depressurization systems, and other remedial systems is required. The successful candidate will work with junior engineers, geologists and environmental scientists to design and manage field work including groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and surface water sampling, manage and evaluate field and lab data, supervise contractors and drillers, and support the preparation of reports and conduct review of reports developed by junior staff. This individual will be responsible for cost estimating, proposals, invoicing, and client management. Prior experience with environmental investigations and remediation at E-Designation projects is a plus. This position may have some limited fieldwork at times. Requirements B.S. degree in Engineering (Chemical or Environmental), Geology or Envi NY State Licensed Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist a bonus 8-16 years of experience managing Phase II ESAs and Brownfield Cleanup Program projects.
