Diesel Truck and Construction Equipment Mechanic (Los Angeles)

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Diesel Trucks and Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. Your expertise in mechanical knowledge and electrical systems will be crucial in diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently. Responsibilities - Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication of engines - Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other components - Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other vital parts to ensure proper functioning - Use diagnostic tools to identify electrical system issues and repair or replace faulty components - Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential problems or areas for improvement - Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed - Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment - A Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic performs journey-level work in the maintenance and repair of construction, road maintenance, and/or builds, installs, or modifies equipment for special purposes. Qualifications - Valid state-issued driver's license and clean driving record - Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role - Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and other related components - Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and reading schematics - Ability to assemble, disassemble, and reassemble engine parts accurately - Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures and schedules - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently - Experience operating forklifts and power tools is a plus If you are a skilled Diesel Mechanic looking for a challenging opportunity with room for growth, we encourage you to apply.
