Active Condominimum Complex in Northern Jersey is looking for an experienced Handyman who has a professional appearance and good communication skills.  Some computer knowledge and ability to use a cell phone is required.  Must have basic knowledge (should be familiar) in electrical, plumbing/ toilet snaking, lock installation, and some carpentry and cleaning skills. Must be able to monitor move-in and move-outs. Monitor/greet vendors that come on site. Summer task include monitoring pool chemicals, opening/closing pool. Doing projects onsite as asked to perform like painting, trimming some plants, cleaning gym equipment. Winter tasks include snow shoveling the sidewalk and by entrance doors (landscaper does plowing).   This candidate must be able to follow direction from the property manager and have a cooperative demeanor to work well with the current on-site super.   In return, this full-time the Handyman will get a salary and a one-bedroom rent-free apartment and free electricity (not including cable and no cell phone service).    Requirement: a 30-day probation period is needed as a trial basis before being accepted to take on the super's position and prior to moving in.   The work week (Mon-Fri) is forty hours a week and the pay is $17.50hour This also includes a rent-free apartment. This position requires the candidate to be on-call for emergencies in this complex 24-hrs a day.

Focus & Scope Repairing and maintaining the workings of the rock plant, asphalt plant, belt line, equipment, and oversees the project/work site, ensuring safety standards are followed and quality work is being performed in a timely manner. Completes daily walkthroughs of project/work site to confirm availability and use of proper materials and tools; recognizes and promptly addresses issues so that work can continue on schedule.
