This is not a job board—you won’t pay for leads or listings. We receive jobs from our home portfolio partners, support their completion with our local contractors, and pay you directly for completed work. We’re a residential maintenance service provider partnering with property portfolios. Our ideal contractor is someone who has their own business or clients but wants to fill in their schedule with high-frequency, low-friction work throughout the year.  How It Works You receive work orders directly from us—no lead chasing, no marketing. Jobs come with “not-to-exceed” (NTE) limits (typically $150–$350) to complete minor residential repairs, ideally on the first trip. Larger jobs require an estimate prior to work. Mechanical trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair) are paid diagnostic trip fees of $65–$85, depending on complexity and trade. JOB SUMMARY The Maintenance Technician performs repairs and upgrades to the interior and exterior of SoLa multi-family rental properties. Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES ● Accept directions from the Property Manager regarding day-to-day work activities ● Perform electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall, and janitorial maintenance work ● Repair/replace outlets, switches, breakers, light fixtures, and appliances, and perform other electrical maintenance duties ● Clean drains, snake pipes, repair water leaks and perform other plumbing maintenance duties ● Prepare walls for painting, patch holes, replace drywall, and paint; sand, stain, and refinish woodwork ● Repair cabinets, floors, tile, doors, doorknobs, and related items ● Analyze, troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair residential kitchen appliances, HVAC units, water heaters, etc. ● Ensure job sites are left free of equipment, supplies, and debris following maintenance performed ● Respond promptly to various maintenance issues including emergencies and inspections ● Collaborate internally with other departments, including Property Management, Construction, and Purchasing ● Complete other tasks and projects as assigned EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE ● Minimum 1-3 years’ experience hands-on residential maintenance experience required ● Strong mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of residential maintenance repair techniques, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc. ● Experience using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment SKILLS & ABILITIES ● Fluent in English and Spanish required ● Excellent communication and customer service skills required ● Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced, demanding environment ● Ability to follow verbal/written instructions/directions in a professional and courteous manner ● Reliable transportation to travel between properties ● Passionate about our mission Benefits At SoLa Impact, we believe work environment, culture, and the opportunity to learn and grow are key elements when considering a new job. Disabled 70 yrs old woman needs help cleaning, sorting, and decluttering a kind of hoarded house & shop; packing up a grooming shop. Would like a female because I have to try on clothes and must be in my undies. I can use a couple guys to help move things about 30' from the shop to a container. I only get $1176 social security each month so I can only afford $10 per hour. (I can show you proof) If we do a yard sale at the end, list things on eBay or market place ( I don't know how to do any of that) I will split the selling price minus my cost for the items 50/50 with you, on top of your pay.
