Core Responsibilities Operate equipment such as walking and riding greens mowers, tee mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, rollers, bunker rakes, carts, push mowers and a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools. May operate smaller equipment as directed by supervisor. Reports equipment problems or failures to Mechanic. This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible, hourly position. The starting rate for the position is $18.81-$23.04 per hour. Requirements Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of tractors, and other motorized equipment. Mechanical aptitude Possession of a valid drivers license. Ability to follow oral and written directions, and communicate with colleagues and patrons. Ability to work flexible shifts Physical Demands & Working Conditions On your feet and moving for several hours a day, in all types of weather conditions. Qualifications The following generally describes the knowledge and ability required to enter the job and/or be learned within a short period of time in order to successfully perform the assigned duties. * Two years of responsible vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair experience in a Class 8 Semi Truck and Trailers shop. * Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. * Possession of a valid driver's license. Ability to: * Perform a variety of duties in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing vehicles, equipment and components. * Inspect automotive, class 8 equipment to locate mechanical defects, to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems and to determine corrective procedures. * Perform a variety of welding work. * Estimate time and materials needed for work. * Maintain a variety of shop and repair records and logs. Use various hand and power-driven shop tools. * Prepare and maintain clear and accurate reports. Understand and follow oral and written instructions. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. * Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
