We are currently hiring in our Buildings Engineering Division at our White Plains, NY and Brooklyn, NY offices. LaBella is on the cutting edge of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects that help our clients reduce their energy usage and carbon footprints. Our Energy and Commissioning group is looking for an entry or junior level Energy Engineer with 2-5+ years of experience. This individual will serve a key function in seeing our downstate energy projects from initial feasibility study through construction and commissioning. The Energy engineer will work with other engineers and project managers as part of a project team to support the development of concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications and reports for new Building and Renovation projects with an Energy and/or Commissioning focus Responsibilities Perform energy audits and feasibility studies to identify Energy Conservation Measures. Complete utility data analysis and evaluation of energy usage. Perform basic energy savings calculations, making educated assumptions when applicable and using / interpreting data gathered from the field to estimate savings. Develop design concepts in technical documentation. May assist with mechanical design projects as required. Able to interpret complex plans and specifications and apply available information to ensure that all project design requirements are satisfied. Plan, perform and document the commissioning of various Mechanical and Electrical Systems to ensure the intended operation. Conduct on-site investigation and inspection of multi-discipline projects. Takes a lead role in resolving construction problems, procedures, and methods. Maintain familiarity with appropriate engineering and construction codes. Requirements 5-10+ years of relevant job experience. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) Obtained or in pursuit of a NYS PE License. Energy and/or Commissioning certifications from industry organizations is a plus (CEM, CBCP, BCxP, BEAP, etc.) Functional working knowledge of M/E/P/FP, building automation systems as well as system design and construction processes. Proficient with building modeling software programs. Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a collaborative team environment; Reliable transportation to access job sites, on occasion, with a valid driver’s license in good standing; and Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred. The purpose of this Scope of Work is to present the requirements for a Professional Engineer (PE) to review, evaluate, update, and recertify Wilkes-Barre VAMC SPCC (Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plan. A PE is required to comply with 40 CFR 112 regarding Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s (PADEP) “Guidelines for the Development and Implementation of Environmental Emergency Response Plans.” Requirements Contractor shall review, evaluate, update, and re-certify the current Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plan for the Wilkes-Barre Veterans Affairs Medical Center (WBVAMC). Contractor shall follow the guidance at 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 112 to address the spill prevention provisions contained in the Clean Water Act of 1972 and any applicable Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and ideally some hands-on experience with CNC Lathe and CNC Mill operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has reached their potential in their current shop but has not yet found the opportunity to advance into a full-time programming role. As a CNC Programmer at PlaSteel, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support our manufacturing operations. These tasks include designing fixturing, creating and updating set-up sheets, order tooling, and developing ballooned sketches for manufacturing operations. Responsibilities: • CNC Programming: Design and create CNC programs for a variety of operations using Mastercam. • Fixturing: Develop and design fixtures required for machining processes. • Tooling: Order tooling and ensure proper tooling is available and ready for production. • Set-Up Sheets: Create and update detailed set-up sheets for production runs. • Ballooned Sketches: Develop manufacturing operation ballooned sketches to clarify the machining process. • Collaboration: Work closely with machinists and shop personnel to troubleshoot programs and improve processes.
