Admiral Refrigeration Inc. is looking for a skilled Solidworks/Auto CAD Designer/Drafter to join our team. The primary focus is to create 2D and 3D models, assemblies, and drawings based on project requirements, specifications, and design guidelines for commercial refrigeration systems. We work in the food service industry space, such as Walk-In Boxes, Ice Machines, and Refrigeration Rack Systems. Admiral Refrigeration Inc is a manufacturer of remote refrigeration rack equipment, both air-cooled and water-cooled. Responsibilities: • Utilize SolidWorks/Auto CAD software to create 2D and 3D models, assemblies, and drawings based on project requirements, specifications, and design guidelines. • Develop and modify designs, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and adherence to industry standards. • Generate detailed technical drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and materials, for use in manufacturing and production processes. • Participate in design reviews and provide valuable insights to improve designs and resolve challenges. • Perform detailed checks on designs, models, and drawings to maintain accuracy, consistency. • Identify and rectify discrepancies or errors in designs to ensure high-quality deliverables. \ • Manage multiple design projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines. • Communicate progress, updates, and potential roadblocks to project managers and team members. Qualifications: • Strong SolidWorks/Auto CAD software knowledge. • Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and materials selection. • Experience in drafting and creating technical drawings with precision and accuracy. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about design challenges. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members. • Detail-oriented mindset with a keen eye for identifying design inconsistencies and errors. • Prior experience in product design, engineering, or a related field is a plus. • Knowledge of other CAD software and tools is beneficial. Coordinating and scheduling labor assignments for each week’s projects & tasks according to Project Schedules via the Field Leaders and Project Managers. d. Overseeing & implementing project quality standards for the project and ensuring installation Best Practice Systems are being upheld e. Implement & oversee company training for field personal such as: a. Superintendent & Foreman Training b. Safety & Equipment Inspections c. Coordinate and oversee sub-contractor awareness and expectations of job-sites e. Implement, monitor, benchmark and enforce standards of production for self-performed work to ensure field personal are operating efficiently & effectively f. Assist with modular deliveries and coordination along with the factory production teams g. Communicate to Factory Teams, Estimating Team, Project Managers, and others of opportunities or issues in regards to production, technology, budgets, etc. h. Uphold high customer service standards through personal leadership and managed employees i. Promote the company image through exercising sound and ethical business practices as they relate to customers, suppliers, employees and the public j. Follow & promote all guidelines, policies and procedures established by the company k. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, health & safety laws & ordinances Requirements: a. High School Degree Preferred: Post Secondary Degree (Trade or Bachelor’s) b. Minimum of ten (10) years of valid construction experience and a preference will be placed on candidates with five (5) years of a leadership capacity role such as Superintendent, Foreman, or other comparable leadership in the construction industry c. The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide sufficiently to figure normal calculations d. The ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints, specifications, and contracts e. The ability to foresee events and anticipate changes in conditions and operations to the greatest extent possible and react to these appropriately f. Maintain valid CA driver’s License g. Proficient with Microsoft Office such as Project, Excel, Outlook, and Word h. The ability to multi-task effectively and manage stress load appropriately i. Maintain an organized works space, shop, and communication system with your field team and company personnel. j. Experience with complex and high-end residential projects Authority: a. Manage field operations in regards to directing Field Leaders, project safety, assign work and direct field crew staff for successful project progress through completion b. Recruit, hire, train, discipline, evaluate and make changes in status of all field employees in accordance with company policies and procedures c.
