Job Type: Contract (1099), Part-Time to Full-Time based on your availability and travel flexibility. Payment: Direct Deposit Weekly (Direct Contractors Only) About the Role: We’re seeking experienced Field Technicians with a strong understanding of the petroleum industry and how it parallels Information Technology systems. This position supports gas stations, convenience stores, and related retail locations with urgent “break/fix” and maintenance needs. Assignments are primarily local to your area, but we highly value technicians willing to travel further within the state for high-priority jobs. This is not an entry-level role—we do not provide training and require techs who can work independently and be available on short notice. POS Hardware Repair & Replacement: Diagnose and replace pin pads, touchscreens, and POS peripherals. Transaction Processing & EPS Network Support: Resolve EPS communication issues, reload software, pair commanders, and verify transactions. EBT & Loyalty System Configuration: Reconfigure settings after upgrades or sync failures. Self-Checkout Register Reconfiguration: Restore default payment methods and verify functionality. Payment Device Troubleshooting: Fix tap/chip/swipe issues and loyalty integration failures. Fuel Pump System Support: Resolve loyalty screen freezes, font display issues, and pump-to-register sync errors. Cash Drawer Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve communication problems with POS systems. Backroom & Drive-Thru POS Setup: Install/configure new or legacy registers (C18s, Ruby). BOHA (Back of House Automation) Support: Restore food labeling system connectivity. VoIP Phone System Troubleshooting: Reconnect and reconfigure VoIP systems. Cradle & Handheld Device Support: Troubleshoot and document handheld scanning issues. Price Sign & Fuel Price Display Repair: Resolve networked signage failures for accurate pricing. Software Updates & Configuration Alignment: Perform manual updates and configuration mirroring. Rapid Response & On-Site Diagnostics: Deliver quick, on-site support for urgent petroleum retail technology issues. Requirements: Proven field experience in both petroleum retail systems and IT support. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Availability for short-notice jobs, including urgent service calls. Willingness to travel locally and, when needed, statewide. Reliable transportation and standard field service toolset. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Compensation: Contract position (1099) – DOE Flexible hours, with potential for part-time to full-time workload depending on your availability and travel range. How to Apply: Send your resume with contact information and a brief summary of your petroleum & IT experience in response to this job posting. Please include your primary service area and your maximum travel radius.
