Senior Software Engineer Aviture is currently hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and support the continued development of the United States Air Force’s primary recruiting and public-facing application – Aim High. This role involves working as a part of a mature, cross functional, agile development team with generalized specializations in UX, UI, Mobile, Cloud Engineering (AWS), DevOps and QA. Requirements BS degree in Software Engineering related degree, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience. 7+ years of professional software development experience building and shipping production grade software or services. Advanced knowledge of software testing tools, frameworks, and techniques. Proficient in at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, C#/.NET, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to respectfully challenge the status quo. Experience developing and deploying cloud native software on the AWS cloud. Experience using serverless technologies like Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB is preferred. Experience with UI development using ReactJS and/or React Native. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Working in a fast paced 24-hour call center environment, the Technical Support Agent serves as the initial point of contact for member issues and inquiries including complex problem resolution for MTA Internet, including DSL, email, totalWiFi and MTA Shield. This position performs advanced support of network troubleshooting, scheduling, managing network outages, and coordinating multiple departments while supporting a wide platform of corporate and customer owned equipment. Technical Support Agents schedule and support all Field Support Technicians to maximize productivity. They also act as the primary liaison between the customer, Support Center, Dispatch, Field Support Technicians, Engineering, Residential Sales Representatives, and other departments as needed. This position is responsible for assisting customers, providing information, meeting objectives, and handling administrative aspects of each customer contact. This position ensures the timely process through which customer problems are received, controlled, tracked, and resolved. This includes problem recognition, research, isolation, product and services recommendation, resolution/sale, and follow-up.
