Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is looking for a part time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our Southport (Bolivia, NC) office! This position would be part time Mondays and Fridays. DENTAL HYGIENIST POSITION SUMMARY A Dental Hygienist for Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry works together with our dentists to meet the oral health needs of our patients. A Dental Hygienist is responsible for promoting dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screenings, periodontal maintenance, charting dental solutions, willingness to assist with a variety of responsibilities in the dental office, and performing in compliance with Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry’s highest standard of care. DENTAL HYGIENIST KEY COMPETENCIES Assess dental condition and needs of patient using patient screening procedures, including medical history review, dental charting, and perio charting Delivers direct patient care using established dental hygienist procedures Takes patient vital signs Performs routine treatment procedures, such as cleaning and polishing Takes radiographs required for diagnosis of treatment needs by the dentist Applies sealants and fluorides Electronic record keeping Documents patient dental history and chief complaint Records and reports pertinent observations Teaches patients how to prevent tooth decay and gum disease through proper diet and oral home care Cleans and sterilizes instruments Completes Treatment Plan as prescribed by the dentist Reviews and explains treatment plan and associates fees with patient Ability to articulate and express patients concerns to dentist Primary treatment coordinator Ancillary duties as needed Requirements Must be present by 7:45am as clinic opens at 8am (operational hours may vary based on location); individual must be reliable. Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is looking for a full-time Patient Coordinator for our Wilmington-Barclay office! Schedule would be Monday-Thursday 7:45am-5pm and Fridays from 7:45am-2pm. POSITION SUMMARY The primary role of the Patient Coordinator is to help the dental office stay on schedule, schedules new appointments, enters patient data for billing purposes, communicates with patients in an efficient and empathetic manner, and generally keeps the office stocked with necessary supplies. I became a quadriplegic 2015 after a spinal court injury. Due to my disability, I rely on daily care from my care team to assist me with all activities of daily living and household support. I currently have a great team of caregivers, but I am looking for one or two more people to fill a couple shifts/gaps schedule. I am looking for someone to work Wednesday and Thursday mornings (6:30 - 11 am) and someone to work several evenings during the week/weekend (8:30 - 10:30 PM). About me: I live with my wife in a home near the University of Washington. I have a full-time job in real estate and enjoy working, reading, and spending time with family and friends. All of this is possible for me with the support of my great care team. I receive care every morning and every evening: Monday through Friday morning shifts are 6:30 AM – 11 AM; evening shifts are from 8:30 PM – 10:30 PM Saturday and Sunday shifts are 8 AM – 12 PM; evening shifts are from 9 PM – 11 PM About my caregivers: currently the team has 5 part-time people who have worked for us anywhere from one year to more than 8 years. Each caregiver is communicative, reliable, and works well individually and as part of a team. My wife and I focus on creating a positive work environment, and my caregivers are focused on providing me with as much independence as possible. About my care: I have one caregiver work each shift every morning and every evening. My morning care involves transfers (with a ceiling lift), full assist shower, bowel program (every other day), dressing, cooking, stretching upper and lower extremities, housekeeping and other supportive tasks. Driving my wheelchair van is often also part of this shift. I also have a caregiver work each evening for a couple hours (8:30 PM to 10:30 PM), and this role includes household chores, exercise support, and transferring me from my chair to bed.
