Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for performing a complete walkthrough demonstration of all interior/exterior features and the proper operation of the unit. Including filling and dumping of all holding tanks. Guide each delivered customer through CampTown Outfitters recommending and selling items selectively tailored to individual customer needs. Perform and demonstrate the proper hitch set up on all travel trailer deliveries, and proper coupling procedures for all fifth wheel deliveries. Ensure each customer is familiar and comfortable with the proper operation of their installed brake controller. Responsible for the safe departure of tow vehicle and attached RV from the delivery pad. Responsible for ensuring the delivery area’s appearance and cleanliness meets the highest standard throughout each business day. This will include proper stowage of power cords and dump hoses along with ensuring any trash/debris is cleared. Responsible for ensuring units scheduled for delivery the next business day are ready for transfer from the make ready area to the assigned delivery pad. Participate in the daily department opening/closing procedures as defined in written department policy. Requirements Preform a functional and visual inspection of each unit coming in from the factory. Maintain documentation of unit inspections. Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Pleasant and professional etiquette. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to work nights and weekends. Computer skills - Google Mail, Sheets, Docs, Calendar Internet software and Sys2K (Dealer Management Software) Contact Management systems. Responsibilities Go the extra mile to engage customers Greet and direct customers Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services) Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing Cross-sell products Ensure racks are fully stocked Manage returns of merchandise Coordinate with your team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times) Inform customers about discounts and special offers Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager Stay up-to-date with new products/services Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes Follow routes and time schedule Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints Inform customers about new products and services Follow DOT regulations and safety standards Requirements Prior Outdoor Supply Industry Experience Must be comfortable working most of your shift on your feet and performing repetitive physical tasks, such as stooping, squatting, and lifting items above your head. Must be comfortable operating and making deliveries on a daily route in an Isuzu NRR 650 or similar commercial vehicle. Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively Basic math skills Be able to lift 50-70 pounds Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships Ability to perform in fast-paced environments Valid driver’s license Excellent organizational and time management skills Good driving record with no traffic violations Bonus Points for the Following* Bilingual (Spanish & English) Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions (willing to train the right candidate) Proven work experience as a Customer Service Associate, Sales Associate, or similar role. Overview: The Delivery Specialist is responsible for delivering RVs to customers, providing comprehensive orientations on vehicle features and operations, and addressing any questions or concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.  Address all concerns if any with the service department to ensure the customer has a memorable experience as they take possession of their new recreational vehicle.  Job Responsibilities: Pre-Walk Inspection Conduct thorough inspections of RVs prior to delivery to ensure they meet quality standards.  Verify that all systems and components are in proper working order and address any issues promptly. Delivery Coordination Coordinate delivery schedules with customers and ensure timely arrival at designated locations. Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any special requests or requirements. Customer Orientation Provide comprehensive orientations to customers upon delivery of their RVs, covering topics such as vehicle features, operation of systems (e.g., HVAC, appliances, electrical), maintenance guidelines, and safety protocols. Demonstration and Training  Demonstrate how to operate RV features and amenities effectively, including slide-outs, leveling systems, awnings, entertainment systems, and more.  Offer hands-on training and answer any questions to ensure customers feel confident using their RVs. Retail Store Walk  Walk the customer through the Camptown offering the proper accessories needed to use the RV.    Documentation and Paperwork Complete delivery documentation accurately, including delivery reports, inspection checklists, and customer sign-offs. Ensure all paperwork is processed in a timely manner and in compliance with company policies and regulations. Customer Support Serve as a point of contact for customers post-delivery, offering ongoing support and assistance as needed. Address any concerns or technical issues promptly and professionally, and escalate complex issues to the appropriate department. Relationship Building  Foster positive relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service and demonstrating genuine enthusiasm for their RV lifestyle.  Follow up with customers after delivery to ensure satisfaction and encourage feedback. Customer Reviews Promote positive reviews by demonstrating a thorough walkthrough of the unit and ensuring the customer is satisfied with the entire buying process from start to finish. Final Hitch Demonstration Demonstrate how to properly hitch the RV to the vehicle. Per policy disconnect hitch and have the customer hook to their unit without assistance (we do not hook the trailer up for the customer) Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training, certifications, or relevant college coursework in Business, Management, or RV operations is a plus. Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in RV operations, customer service, or a related field preferred; leadership or project management experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of RV systems, features, and safe towing procedures, with the ability to clearly educate and guide customers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly, professional, and customer-focused demeanor. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with basic computer systems, including Google Workspace and dealer management software (e.g., Sys2K). Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be comfortable operating RVs of varying sizes. Willingness to work weekends and flexible hours; occasional travel for deliveries may be required. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching during vehicle demonstrations, inspections, and customer orientations. Ability to safely enter, exit, and maneuver in and around RVs, including motorhomes and towable units. Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs, including equipment, tools, or accessories needed for demonstrations or deliveries. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate RV controls, demonstrate features, and perform inspections. Ability to safely hitch and unhitch towable RVs following company policy. Visual and auditory ability to safely operate RVs, navigate dealership lots and delivery sites, and communicate effectively with customers and team members. Comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow, during deliveries and customer orientations. Benefits Competitive salary based on experience.
