MHA Columbia Greene is seeking to fill multiple positions of Community Support Specialists. These are 2 full time positions, averaging 40 hours per week including some evenings and weekends, at a rate of $19.50 per hour. Upon successful completion of training to obtain PSR (Psychosocial Rehabilitation) provisional certification, the rate of pay will increase to $21.00 per hour. The primary worksite is in Columbia County NY. **This position offers some flexibility to work remotely based on program needs and supervisor approval** This position supports the CORE (Community Oriented Recovery and Empowerment) services are person-centered, recovery-oriented, mobile behavioral health supports intended to build skills and self-efficacy that promote and facilitate community participation and independence.  Community Oriented Recovery Empowerment Services (CORE) Peer Support Specialists work with individuals with mental health or substance use conditions offering peer delivered services that promote recovery and self-advocacy, focusing on helping individuals develop skills and abilities, access resources, and build networks to support their recovery goals, live independently and participate in community life. As a Community Oriented Recovery and Empowerment (CORE) Services Peer Specialist, you will provide person-centered, recovery-oriented support to individuals with behavioral health issues, helping them develop skills, access resources, and achieve their goals in the community. Services that can be provided: Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR)- to provide this service you need to have a High School Diploma or equivalency and 1-3 years of relevant experience or must have a BA/BS Degree.  Assists individuals in improving their functional abilities to the greatest degree possible in settings where they live, work, learn, and socialize.  Rehabilitation counseling, skill building, and psychoeducational interventions. Core Responsibilities: Person-Centered Support: Work collaboratively with individuals to identify their strengths, goals, and needs, and develop individualized plans to support their recovery journey. Skill Development: Assist individuals in developing social, interpersonal, and daily living skills to enhance their ability to live independently and participate in the community. Advocacy and Empowerment: Advocate for individuals' rights and needs, promoting self-advocacy and empowerment to help them navigate the system and achieve their goals. Resource Navigation: Help individuals access and utilize community resources, including housing, employment, education, and healthcare services. Crisis Support: Provide support during times of crisis, helping individuals access appropriate resources and develop coping strategies. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided, progress made, and any challenges encountered. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the treatment team, including clinicians, case managers, and family members, to ensure a coordinated approach to care. Role Modeling: Serve as a role model for recovery, demonstrating positive coping skills, self-care practices, and a commitment to personal growth. Community Engagement: Participate in community activities and events to promote recovery and reduce stigma and meet with clients in their home/community to provide support. Training and Education: Provide education and training to individuals and families on topics related to mental health, substance use, and recovery. Supervision: Participate in regular supervision to ensure quality of service and professional development. The ideal candidate will have a Peer Support Specialist Certification and be a current or former recipient of mental health services, comfortable in using their lived experience to provide support and advocacy. Provisional Certification (50 hours) allows individuals to provide peer support while the remaining hours are completed towards standard certification. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years' worth of relevant experience. Individuals are required to obtain a PSR Provisional Certification within 3 to 6 months. During the first 60 days you will be required to complete all Essential Knowledge trainings as well as CORE Application of Principles training. Other training courses will be assigned as well. Be a self-starter who works independently in the community and maintains professional relationships with staff, providers, and recipients. Must be reliable and have excellent verbal, written, communication, electronic and interpersonal skills. Should be proficient in computer skills with the aptitude to learn additional software and data entry programs. Effective and efficient documentation skills are a must. Ability to work with a diverse population of urban, suburban and rural cultures and with community members from varying socioeconomic backgrounds. Must be able to work regularly outside the office and in the field to engage with clients. Excellent oral and written communication skills. This role is centered on cultivating relationships with local leaders, from elected officials to community champions, and convening a sustained, values-driven campaign that connects housing to issues like economic opportunity, education, health, and community well-being. The ideal candidate is a skilled relationship-builder and strong, active listener with experience engaging influential stakeholders, especially across lines of difference. They don’t need to be a housing expert. What matters most is a genuine interest in the importance of housing to the health of the Napa Valley, an ability to unite diverse allies, highlight shared values, and help give voice to the real-life impact of housing challenges on local families, workers, and seniors. The consultant will work closely with and report to the Executive Director and the Director of Special Initiatives of Generation Housing. Key Responsibilities ● Lead pro-housing coalition-building: Build and grow a visible, sustained pro-housing presence in Napa Valley by leveraging existing relationships and cultivating new ones with grasstops stakeholders. The ideal candidate has experience convening these leaders around key community issues. ● Cultivate strategic relationships: Actively build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Engage and unite diverse allies, including those who may not traditionally see themselves as housing advocates. ● Manage and facilitate campaigns and meetings: Organize and schedule meetings for stakeholders with complex calendars. ● Facilitate Strategic Discussions: Skillfully reframe conversations about housing to highlight their connection to broader community issues such as economic development, mental health, and education, uniting diverse stakeholders around shared goals. ● Develop and implement person-centered messaging: Give voice to the experiences of those affected by housing costs, including workers, families, and seniors. Support Fundraising Efforts: Be open to participating in fund development activities to secure resources for the campaign's long-term success. Qualifications ● Demonstrated ability to skillfully maneuver through different factions and potential conflicts in a non-adversarial manner, focusing on collaboration and mutual understanding. ● Demonstrated ability to actively listen and guide conversations from housing-specific topics to related community issues like economic development, education, and health. ● Are a natural connector with an instinct for relationships and trust-building ● The ideal candidate will have fundraising experience, whether on the development & membership side or through sustainable grants. ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. ● Spanish speaking is highly desirable but not required. ● Bilingual/bicultural highly desirable but not required. ● Interest in affordable housing and/or social justice is highly desired. ● Excellent computer skills including proficiency with the Microsoft Office and Google Suite of software (especially Word/Docs and ● Excel/Sheets), online research, and basic troubleshooting. Compensation This part-time contract position requires an average of 20-35 hours per week with a fixed compensation of $28,000 through the end of this year. Total hours will not exceed 300 for the term of the contract. The contract will be eligible for renewal in 2026. Location The consultant will be expected to work on-site in Napa Valley, hosting and coordinating in-person meetings and presentations as needed, meeting with elected officials and other stakeholders, and attending relevant community meetings that may include evening hours. Please note that at this time there is no permanent office space designated for this role in Napa Valley, however, we will work with the consultant to secure space for any and all meetings on an as needed basis. Summary of Position The Electrician is responsible for electrical work at St. Joseph Indian School and other properties owned by the same. This is a non-exempt position. Accountability Reports to the Lead Electrician. Responsibilities 1. Repairs, maintains, and installs electrical wiring, equipment, and systems including but limited to switches, outlets, wiring, motors and alarms. 2. Uses diagnostic, test equipment to troubleshoot and identify electrical malfunctions. 3. Replaces, services, bypasses, electrical systems and electrical components. 4. Tests equipment for safety and function using standard test equipment. 5. Installs new equipment, wiring, and circuits following all code and safety requirements. 6. Familiarity with or ability to learn Johnson Controls systems and Metasys. 7. Assists in the maintenance of geo-thermal plant and air conditioning systems. 8. Complies with all safety and health requirements established by local, state and federal laws. 9. Repairs, installs, and trouble shoots all low voltage and communication systems as required. 10. Performs other responsibilities as required by the Lead Electrician. Stay up to date with LA City and County health and safety-net programs like CalFresh, SNAP-Ed, Medi-Cal and others, and how they can support community members and NHF programs. Represent NHF at community meetings and build relationships with community members to increase NHF’s program participation. Coordinate and/or assist with community events that promote programs, services, and NHF overall. Maintain records of program deliverables, such as attendance sheets and event reach, and input data in evaluation dashboards. Provide support to other team members, including but not limited to preparing workshop & class materials, reviewing program lesson plans & curricula, assist with program planning, etc. Always follow NHF policies and procedures. Requirements At least 3 years of experience conducting community outreach and education as a certified or trained Community Health Worker or Promotora. Knowledge of community resources, including public benefits, nonprofit organizations, and local businesses. Experience working effectively with diverse communities. Comfortable with public speaking and leading group activities Strong team player able to work effectively and efficiently with others toward common goals. Fluent in English and Spanish, or other commonly used language in Los Angeles County. Reliable transportation! This position will be required to visit multiple different sites over the course of a week and will need transportation.
