S&K Building Services is expanding our team across the nation and looking for a Commercial High-Rise Window Cleaning Technician! As a High Rise Technician, you’ll be an integral part of our team, supporting our client base at a high-rise level via rope descent system. This position will support S&K Building Services | 1696 Old Okeechobee Rd, Suite C1, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 What You'll Do Effectively cleanse windows and glass surfaces using non-abrasive cleaning tools. Safely repel high-rise buildings via rope descent system to reach and cleanse the windows. Communicate with site contact before, during, and after completion of work, and retrieve customer endorsement on work order. Transport and set-up water-fed poles to clean windows of multi-story buildings, and subsequent breakdown of equipment. Effectively clean up after each job to ensure there is no residue or dirt left behind. Ensure that the company vehicle is clean, maintained, and adequately stocked with window cleaning supplies at all times. Attend weekly safety meetings. Who You Are You have 1+ year(s) of relative experience safely repelling high-rise buildings. You have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. You have reliable transportation to/from work and job sites. You have a clean-cut appearance and able to adhere to our dress code. You are able to lift up to 60lbs. You are able to scale and utilize ladders from 5ft to 40ft in height (safety training provided). You are able to work both indoors and outdoors during variable weather conditions. You have excellent time-management skills. You adhere to high ethical standard. You work well in a team environment. You are professional with interpersonal and communication skills. NICE TO HAVE You are a certified or an authorized user of Rope Descent Systems (RDS). You are Society of Professional Rope Access Technician (SPRAT) certified. You are bilingual (English & Spanish). Definition and Purpose  Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director – Facility Operations (University Union), the Custodian is responsible for custodial and maintenance duties as assigned and does other work as required.  Additionally, all ASI employees are responsible for upholding the core values of the organization including but not limited to exhibiting professional behavior, acting as a role model to others, displaying a positive and cooperative attitude, communicating effectively, developing expert knowledge in area of specialization, and working together as a team.  Requirements Educational and Qualifying Experience, Skills, Licenses, Credentials  Educational/License/Credential Requirements  High school diploma, GED or equivalent.  Experience Requirements  Minimum one (1) year experience as a custodian in a large facility that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.  Knowledge/Skill Requirements  Ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position.  General knowledge of office methods, equipment, procedures, and practices.  Knowledge of Windows-based computer systems.  Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written.  Ability to use and care for custodial equipment and supplies.  Ability to follow directions.  Ability to initiate, establish, and foster communication and teamwork by maintaining a positive, cooperative, productive work atmosphere.   Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within a diverse population and with those from various cultural backgrounds, specific needs, or limitations.  Supervisory Responsibilities  None.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities  Clean and maintain all public interior surfaces to include glass, floors, windows, blinds, furniture, whiteboards, counters, etc.  Clean and maintain all ballrooms, conference rooms, and offices.  Clean and maintain restrooms to meet daily health and safety standards, including effective disinfection of urinals, toilets, restroom flooring, sinks, and counters.  Clean and maintain exterior of the facility including glass, trash removal, walkways, and plaza.  Replenish lavatory supplies, empty wastebaskets, and remove trash.  Assist with special event needs, including set-ups, take-downs, and special event cleaning needs.  Clean and maintain all interior furniture to include tables, chairs, couches, and lounges.   Clean and maintain tile flooring, to include stripping and waxing on regular intervals.  Provide special event services as needed to events in the University Union, to include concurrent cleaning, periodic trash removal as necessary, and extra attention during large events.  Safeguard building and equipment from unauthorized use.   Clean and maintain carpet in offices, lobby areas, conference rooms, and lounges.   Use and maintain specialized custodial equipment.  Maintain an awareness of safety procedures, intervene if an activity is unsafe, and report practices that do not meet safety standards.   Complete daily cleaning checklist tasks and record with initials on COVID checklists  Oversee student staff daily checklists and coordinate task completion.  Assessment   Participate in the overall ASI assessment planning and goal setting.  Diversity and Inclusion  Recommend and support practices intended to eliminate racial, gender, or any other form of bias in processes, policies, and procedures.   Demonstrate awareness of one’s own biases, comfort levels, and various aspects of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).  Demonstrate effort to understand each person’s individual and collective role in creating inclusive environments.   Commit to continuous learning/improvement in DEI and cultural competence.   Work with director to review department’s policies, procedures, & practices related to DEI and participate in addressing barriers identified.  Other Duties and Responsibilities  Represent ASI on committees as appropriate.  Ensure continuous professional development.  The person holding this position is considered a "mandated reporter" under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in ASI policy as a condition of their employment.  Other duties as assigned.  Background Check  This position is subject to a background check (including criminal records) as well as National Address Locater (Social Security Number [SSN] Trace), 7-year County Criminal Search in each county and/or state the applicant lived in based on the SSN Trace, National Criminal Database Search, Name Search, Employment Verification (All employers in past 7 years) and Education Verification (Highest Degree).
