1998 Chevy Camper Van High Top - $18,000 (Seattle)

address2037 25th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98144, USA

Description

Selling my beloved Chevy campervan. I built it out in 2020, and have enjoyed many cross country travels, and backwoods adventures. Recently just drove to Wisconsin and back and she performed perfectly! Started easily in -20deg. Let's get into the nuts and bolts Engine 5.7l V8 350 Chevy Vortec. Arguably one of the most dependable, well made engines ever made. 145000 miles, and plenty more to come. This engine will get you over Snoqualmie pass with ease, getting roughly 15mpgs (on flat land). It drives fantastically, runs quiet, and rolls easily. No leaks or issues with the engine. The only issue right now is the AC has a leak. I have recharged it before and it blows ice cold for a few days and then its leaked out. This means the major AC components are functional, so the repair bill shouldn't be high. I haven't needed AC much hence why I haven't fixed it. In general, given this vans age, it is easy to find shops around the country that can work on it. It is truly simple enough that you could work on it yourself. Major components are easy to find and inexpensive. Here are some things that have been replaced or repaired since I've owned it; Brand new engine battery, and interior battery Serpentine belt is brand new, comes with extras just in case Transmission cooling lines power steering pump, lines, assembly front struts rear leaf spring bumper Tie rods and accessories (for alignment) Blower motor (for inside air) Climate control interface I fitted it with new general grabber AT tires a couple years ago Interior As mentioned, I built it out personally to fit my needs. I built it in way that allows for easy additions and customizations. I used no/low VOC materials throughout for a good IAQ and focused on keeping it lightweight as much as possible. Most things are created with birch hardwood plywood which is really pretty. Fully insulated means you can sleep in freezing temperatures without much aid of a heater. Here are some features; Hightop gives you, roughly 5'6" headspace and tons of storage 100AH lifpo4 battery for interior (space in rear for an extra battery, in case you want to double it) many interior lights sink with pump and faucet (uses 6gal freshwater tank and 6gal greywater tank) rooftop fan slide out dining table, converts area into 2 person dinette converts into office desk slide and fold out bed platform, can fit a full size full mattress on it! Im over 6' tall and being able to stretch out is very important to me. various 12v charge ports throughout, including in trunk water pump in rear for shower comes with 12v ICECO fridge can include 2 burner propane stove comes with front window covers (reflective) has curtains and refective covers for all windows. Can comfortable sleep anywhere as it is 100% private once curtains and blockers are utilized. battery monitor screen cellphone range extender (500$ alone!) USB specific chargers throughout 700w inverter, with 120VAC ports in two locations inside Shore power charger, connect to 120VAC to charge battery if needed Passenger Swivel seat! Many cubbies and drawers for storage Backup camera! "Slick locks" puck locks for side door and rear, great security Heavy duty roof bars, would be easy to add solar on top comes with rooftop ski box, does NOT come with canoe sorry Has hitch, but does not come with bike rack does NOT have interior speakers in front or back. Took out radio head since it was old an not USB compatible. I just use a JBL speaker which is great, plus it will never drain the battery if you want music while camping. (speaker not included tho). wiring is in place in case you want to add speakers. no toilet inside at all, didn't want it or need it. The body is in decent shape, she has acquired a few dings and scratches over the years, but purely cosmetic. Who wants to dive thru the woods with a perfect paint job anyways? This van is a head turner! Everywhere I go I get compliments on it. If you want to live in, work in, or just take adventures in it this van is perfect. Good clearance for forest service roads and the good tires will get you through snow or mud. You dont need to do anything to this, just get in it and drive!
