Requirements As Physician Reviewer/Advisor, you will utilize clinical expertise and reviews insurance appeals, and prospective and retrospective claims. The Physician Reviewer will provide an interpretation of the medical necessity of services provided by other healthcare professionals in compliance with client specific policies, nationally recognized evidence-based guidelines, and standards of care. The Osteopathic Principles and Practices (OPP) physician faculty member works to assure osteopathic philosophy, and principles are taught throughout the curriculum. Primary responsibilities involve teaching, mentoring, and evaluating osteopathic medical students in the OPP courses of first and second years, as well as the third and fourth years. Other responsibilities may include instruction in courses beyond the OPP curriculum, student advising, student recruitment, retention and placement efforts.
