Soft back, 217 pages. Includes description and high lights for each of the trips, along with many good photos of the high country. Graphic profiles for 27 trips showing elevation changes. A table gives recommended number of days for each trip, a trail rating as "Leisure" to "Strenuous", and the best season for making the trip. At the beginning of the book you will find very helpful "Backpacking Basics," including gear and clothing checklists and reference to the USGS topographic maps (these are now available as free downloads at usgs.gov/topoview).
