Pick-up only Orange Blossom Trail and Donegan Ave. About the Author Jim Robison Robison, after a nearly thirty-year career as a newspaper reporter, editor and history columnist, left daily journalism to write and lecture on Florida heritage. While getting his bachelor’s degree in journalism at the University of Florida, he also began a life-long study of the history of the South. Robison was a reporter and editor in Central Florida from 1975 until 2004, almost all of that time for the Orlando Sentinel. He began writing Central Florida history in 1988. Since then, Robison has published more than 1,600 articles and eight books about Seminole, Osceola, and Orange counties, including the 2008 publication of Kissimmee, 125 Years of Its People and Progress. He is working on a series of books on characters and events that shaped Central Florida. He also is working on three historic novels set in Florida and a biography of a black Confederate soldier. Robison is the immediate past president of the Sanford Historical Society and a volunteer editor for the Historical Society of Central Florida’s Reflections magazine.
