Description

We are looking for a Controller to join our team! This role is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, managing and developing accounting staff, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP, experience with financial reporting and audits, and the ability to provide insights that support sound business decisions. What You’ll Do: Manage, train, and develop accounting staff. Reconcile accounts for monthly and annual closing. Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances. Assist in preparation of GAAP financial statements. Prepare financial forecasts, analysis and other reports for management to understand the financial state of the business. Interpreting loan agreements and other critical financial documents. Manage investor reporting. Tax compliance and filings. Participate in preparation of annual audit. Facilitate processes, including internal controls, and maintaining records. Requirements Minimum of 5–7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Has worked for a large Finance Company previously. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Experience with preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and financial forecasts. Proficient in accounting software, NetSuite, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience supporting external audits and ensuring timely completion of audit requirements. Proven ability to identify discrepancies, analyze complex financial data, and resolve issues effectively. Strong leadership, team development, and staff management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to stakeholders. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
