SEEKING ORIGINAL ARTISTS FOR OPEN MIC AUGUST 17th (Chisago county/NW Wisconsin)

SUNDAY AUGUST 17TH - 11AM - 2:30AM in SOMERSET, WI ---This open mic is set up for small acts in a family friendly type atmosphere with a nice stage. Singer/songwriters, acoustic duo/trio, even small A Capella groups. Great place for younger musicians, as well! No amps, no drums. Small percussion welcome; ie., Cajun, Tambourine, Cabasas, Shakers. Pre-sign up required to reserve a 30 minute showcase block for ORIGINAL work only. There are up to five slots available. After the showcase acts, we will have an open jam for anyone who wants to perform; originals or covers. Sign up for the open jam after the showcases is first come, first serve and will start at the beginning of the jam and continue until full. Three songs a turn (average, four minutes per song, please) SATURDAY AUGUST 30TH - 7PM - 10:30PM in TAYLORS FALLS, MN ---This open mic is set up for small acts in a more "adult" type atmosphere on a Saturday night. Singer/songwriters, acoustic duo/trio, even small A Capella groups. Do you have a full rock/heavier band that can scale down to an "unplugged" version? This particular venue would be great for that.
