Drummer Forming Studio Group (Chillicothe)

Wreaking Crew, Funk Bros, Swampers anyone? I am a drummer with a commercial studio in Chillicothe and really want to assemble a group of like-minded musicians for recording. I hesitate to call this a band as that conjures up thoughts of playing live. This is not the intention of this. What I’m looking for can basically be described in three parts. First off, I want to get together and collaborate and write with others and record. If you like to write…perfect. This can be the vehicle to get those ideas from your head to a recording. I’m seeking people who can work well with others and are willing to try different ideas. This is key. If you want to run the show all the time, this isn’t the project for you. I want this to be a place open to everyone’s ideas. The cool thing is that we will all have recordings to show for our effort. There won’t be the learning of endless set lists. I’m not trying to form a gigging band. If we all decide that we want to do something like that, we’ll discuss it at that point. If gigging is your thing, this isn’t the project for you. Secondly, my studio is a commercial facility. There will be times that artists come in that will need session players. This “club” of ours will be the first call. In fact, many of those situations will probably require everyone. We of course will charge for the service and everyone can make a few bucks. This will require us to be very versatile when it comes to genre. I would rather have people that are proficient in multiple styles than masters in one. This also has to be something that you want to do. If you are really centered around one or a narrow group of genres, this isn’t the project for you. I repeat that phrase because I’m fairly certain you won’t be happy. Finally, I want to have fun with cool people. I don’t care about your age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion or lack of, or politics. However, you must be respectful and tolerant of others, regardless of these aforementioned things. My hope is that we will have a group of people that enjoy spending time with one another and look forward to getting together a couple of times a week. To start with I’m looking for guitars, bass, keys, vocalists. However, that list is not exclusive. If you’re interested, feel free to contact me and we’ll see if we’re on the same page.
