I purchased this set in Florence Italy in the late 1970's. It is absolutely beautiful. 100% Italian linen. I believe it is a dainty set for demitasse and dessert. It is in excellent vintage condition - just about flawless. The fabric has the usual little natural characteristics of linen. It is free from food stains or any staining as it was never used and stored carefully. It may be silkscreened but I am not exactly sure how it was printed. The colors are vibrant.
