Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor Classification: Salaried plus commission Department: Assigned Branch Report to: Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager Principle Purpose of Job: Maintain sales and productivity by sustaining Senox’s high level of customer service. The Lead Driver is in constant contact with our customers and play an immense role in preserving our customer base. Examples of Duties: • Customer Service – Create working relationships with our customer base. • Maintain a high level of customer service at all times. • Order Preparation – Have a basic knowledge of all product. Learn the Senox colors. • Reading customer orders or packing slips to determine items to be pulled and staged for pick up by the customer or for delivery to the customers shop. Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method. Double check orders as being picked up with the customer, or before the order leaves to be delivered. • Prep boxes as orders are pulled; all trash shall be thrown into the appropriate place. • Deliveries - Make timely daily deliveries to customers while maintaining good customer relations. Understand the Wright Express gas card procedures. Proper understanding of how to load a truck and trailer for delivery. Learn where the customer’s shops are, and how to properly unload the deliveries at their shop. Coordinate with managers on scheduling the deliveries. • Learn what customers to pick up payments from, and how to handle cash payments at delivery. • Receiving and Stocking Products - Unloading product trucks, physically receive in the merchandise and matching the truck receiver with what was actually shipped. • Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, or shelves according to the predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. • Assist in counting of physical inventory. • Prepare parcels for mailing. • Cleaning and Maintenance - Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for sales people and customer traffic. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times. • Overseeing the cleanliness of the branch by: sweeping, dusting and mopping. May be assigned facilities maintenance/ janitorial duties as needed. • Preform daily and weekly inspections on the company trucks, trailers and forklift. Oversee the maintenance on company vehicles and forklift is performed as needed. • Additional duties as required. Contacts: Branch Manager, assistant branch manager, branch personnel, customer representatives and customers. Supervision: Lead Driver; Driver and Warehouseman Accountability: Accountable for ensuring customers are pleased by filling orders properly and timely. The Warehouse Manager is also responsible for maintaining order within the warehouse. Working Conditions: Work is performed in a warehouse setting, as well as, on the road while delivering. Employees in this classification are subject to seasonal variations in temperature. Hearing and sight sufficient to work around forklifts and other typical warehouse equipment used to move large items and physical agility sufficient to remove the employee from the danger of falling items is necessary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Ability to effectively communicate with customers by phone or in person to ensure customer satisfaction and inquire about adding additional material to the orders to help increase sales. • May be asked to fill in office capacity entering orders or taking them over the phone. • Knowledge of warehouse operations. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, climb or balance. • Ability to manage multiple functions at one time. • Ability to maintain attention to detailed information, occasionally for extended periods of time. • Ability to effectively communicate and understand detailed and/or technical information. • All Senox employees are expected to maintain a good driving record. Experience/Education: Prefer two years’ experience in warehouse setting, although not required. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Spanish-speaking preferred, but not required. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
