From your fist email reply and communication with NY Plantings Garden you will be screened for accurate, relatable and effective communication. To clarify, the command of the English language is not only what good communication entails. This small business is capable of supporting a few families. This is the goal and legacy I would like to leave for our people. This took me nearly 2 decades to build and a huge amount of work. I believe very few are capable of doing the work needed to create a sustainable I can find someone willing and able to take 50% of my workload that would be amazing. Someone who doesn't give up easily, trusts others and is willing to do what it takes to be successful including working much harder than others to reach goals. Someone who understands that what we do today can effect us years from now. A thick skinned person who might understand the Eastern Long Island culture, how we speak without taking offense to colorful or candid conversation. The understanding that the rewards will come when goals are met. A salary position that may work out to less in the beginning until you have the experience and time management skills to earn more per day. Excellent communication skills. What do we mean by "communication skills? -- Clear acknowledgement of information not simply an "ok" after detailed instructions are provided. -- documenting our work and projects by quality images, sending to file for proof of work done or multiple uses including the use for posting our projects online. Ensure that employees in the field also send images before, during and after the services and projects. Possibly using "company cam" or similar app to organize and teamwork. -- keeping track of 1 to 4 +/- (told you we have a small business!) employees? -- Helping to find and hire the best team members who are looking for a home in our business. -- Developing a set of responsibility while also learning how and when you can help to reduce the owner's workload or take over certain tasks completely. -- Answering phones, possibly emails and helping complete proposals. -- posting our work online and developing social media when there is nothing else to do. -- In time, delegating certain tasks or managing vendors, freelancers and others to make sure that they are doing their jobs. -- We begin our days very early morning. Working from home you may need to be available over the phone. You may be able to start at 7am however sometimes need to be available by 5am -- We will try to focus upon your strengths, what you are good at and also enjoy doing however every position may have tasks that are not our favorite.
