We’re looking for a thoughtful and organized personal assistant to support a Brooklyn-based writer who recently released her debut book, a powerful exploration of spirit, identity, and home. This isn’t just admin work, it’s an opportunity to help bring a creative legacy to life. You’ll support the author’s storytelling journey, online presence, and community building efforts. --- What You’ll Be Doing: * Capture and post social media content and uphold strategy (IG, TikTok, Canva) * Coordinate communications: follow-ups, literary submissions, and meeting details * Conduct research on podcast features, book clubs, awards, and press * Keep documents, contacts, and deadlines organized * Track and manage short story submissions * Help plan and coordinate community events and a growing book club --- What Makes You a Great Fit: * NYC-based and available to travel to Downtown Brooklyn 1–2 times per week * Skilled in communication, organization, and follow-through * Experienced with social media content creation and Canva * Comfortable using Google Docs, Gmail, and digital tools * Can write warm, clear, and professional messages * Familiar with (or curious about) storytelling, literature, Black culture, or spiritual themes --- The Role at a Glance: Location: NYC only (in-person required) Start:ASAP Time:8–12 hours/week (flexible scheduling) Compensation: \$20–28/hr based on experience Type:Part-time independent contractor Duration: 6–9 months with room to grow --- Interested?
