Avant Tech is seeking a dynamic and experienced Nursing Director for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to lead our premier NICU department. This key role involves strategic oversight and management of clinical operations, quality improvement initiatives, budgeting, and staff development within a Level III NICU environment. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care to our most vulnerable patients while collaborating with a diverse healthcare team. Key Responsibilities: Provide visionary leadership and management of NICU nursing services, ensuring adherence to national standards and best practices. Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures for clinical practice, patient care, and staff performance. Monitor and assess the operational and financial performance of the NICU, identifying opportunities for efficiency and improvement. Foster a culture of collaboration and professional growth among nursing staff through mentoring, training, and performance evaluation. Lead quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and achieving accreditation benchmarks. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and allied health professionals, to optimize NICU patient care delivery. Participate in strategic planning and resource allocation to meet the needs of a growing patient population. Requirements Current and valid RN license in the applicable state. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree (MSN or MBA) preferred. A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in NICU nursing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. Strong knowledge of NICU quality metrics, regulatory compliance, and national standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate teams. Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) highly desirable. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
