Mental Health Counselor (Taos - El Prado)

Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour Job description: Mental health counselor providing in person and Telehealth sessions. Job Overview This job is IN PERSON IN TAOS. Some sessions may be telehealth but you must be located in Taos and able to see clients in person at our offices. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate counselor to join our team. Ideal candidates will have experience working with individuals, some with complex needs, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their personal goals and recover from trauma and substance use. This role has a lot of independence with team support provided. Free supervision. We are located in Taos, NM. Responsibilities Provide direct therapy to individuals , fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. Conduct assessments to determine the needs of clients and develop individualized treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's unique circumstances. Facilitate therapy sessions and individual counseling meetings, focusing on behavioral improvement and skill development. Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes for case management purposes. Stay informed about best practices in counseling techniques and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities. Requirements Must have a NM counseling or social work license; LMHC,LCSW, LPCC, LMFT etc. Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Heart centered communication skills, both verbal and written, with the willingness to build rapport with clients and their families. Ability to work collaboratively. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in counseling practices. Job Types: This is an independent contractor position.
