Good afternoon, I am looking for a caregiver for my dad. My dad lives with me and my wife. He is 77 years old, has Parkinson's and dementia. But he is still a functional man. Sometimes he behaves completely normally and you can talk to him normally, and other times he doesn't remember many things and gets confused. My wife and I are looking for someone who can come to our house about 4 hours from 8:00am to 12:00pm, Monday through Friday, to care for my dad. My wife works from home, but it is very difficult for her to attend to my dad while she works. We are looking for someone kind and patient to care for my dad. Someone who can prepare his breakfast and lunch, and keep him company. He doesn't remember how to use the remote control, has been wearing diapers for the past 3 months, soils himself and doesn't know how to clean up. He still bathes by himself but does not clean himself properly. Well, that's a summary of what we are looking for. We are looking for someone with experience caring for elderly people. We are seeking a Latina caregiver who speaks Spanish because my dad gets along better with Hispanic women since he is Mexican, and also because my wife only speaks Spanish. $15 per hour. Someone who has a car would be perfect. His license was taken away a few months ago... someone who can take him to the bank, to the store, someone who can take him to the movies would be perfect.
